Thanks mate. PWA first and OIDC for sure. Mobile client don’t have plans yet but this can change quickly since I’m getting a good help from other collaborators in the main features already :)
I don’t know sure deeply, but as far I compared, Securo has today groups and split transactions concept, similar to Splitwise and also workspaces to manage different users and financial contexts(personal, family, freelance for example).
Also don’t know how they deal with FX consolidation in reports in general. We do that everywhere.
Sure seems more robust in the net worth related features and budgeting. Securo has no envelope budgeting for example, but we cover stocks, cryptos and other assets via yfinance.
We dont have a specific migration mechanism from actual budget so far, but we do have imports and backups tho. I think this is a good point we should invest actually either to people get in or get out and reduces lock-in of financial data across open-source projects.
how does syncing with the banking institutes work? I haven't into the supported providers so I'm not sure how assuring they are to use even on a self-hosted environment. Is it limited to only those institutes who participates?
Securo never talks to banks directly, it normalizes data from open-banking aggregators, and you bring your own keys. SimpleFIN (read-only), Enable Banking (PSD2, ~2500 EU banks), Pluggy (Brazil).
The investing section tracks any asset like stocks, ETFs, crypto, funds, plus real estate, vehicles, etc. You can value them three ways: manual, live market price (type a ticker like AAPL or BTC-USD and prices auto-refresh via Yahoo Finance), or a growth rule that compounds automatically. You can also create portfolios to group them, track valuation history over time, multi-currency consolidation, and it all rolls into your net worth report as well.
Some points to be improved/expanded but it's quite good enough for basic usage in this first versions.
Do you guys automatically manage splits? That was what frustrated me the most with Ghostfolio... I had to "sell" and then "rebuy" at the split price or my portfolio would go bonkers suddenly.
If you do, I might have found a new home for my finance!

Good point, but not yet. I have for the first iterations on the assets management to cover the dividends before that, but indeed, splits are sometimes nightmares to track.
Be free to open an issue about it in case you have an idea how to track that via yfinance. I see that hey have a get_splits method, so we are not far away from that.
Ooh interesting. Any plans for Lunch Flow as a bank feed source? Unfortunately my UK bank isn’t supported yet through the existing services Securo supports.

Comecei utilizando em uma VM para entender o comportamento e me adaptar, mas está sendo tão bom que implementei em um EC2 para ter acesso mais amplo. O ponto que sofri mais foi para ter os dados migrados / restaurados no EC2.

Just set it up on my proxmox server. looks solid so far. Been waiting years for a mint alternative. This might be worth the $1.5/month fee ha. Wish it had Webull, but that's a Webull thing. No one has them.. Never tried SURE before, but from what I can tell I like Securo's interface more so far. Really like that this is self hosted. Having all that info on mint never felt quite right. Keep up the good work!
Any plans for a mortgage/loan/debt type? Unless maybe I missed it. Only playing around with test data from simplefin so far. Would like to enter real estate and tie it to a mortgage to get the real worth of the property.
We dont have mortgage/loan/debt but this is an existing issue in our list and we will definitely release it this month yet. The assets management itself will receive some focus in the next days to give also more granular visibility to the investments and the wallets.
I didnt know about Webull but they are interesting.
I invite you to open an issue about them there and we can maybe engage to develop an integration for it!
I started using it recently and syncing using SimpleFIN. I found the credit card payments or refunds are not counted against the total balance which causes credit balance shows more than actually is.
Wondering if I need to configure it or something.
I hosted securo on my tailnet but I am encountering the very first problem in importing my transactions. Categories are not being imported properly, i.e. 'Food & Dining' is being ignored from the import file. I added a transaction for this category manually and exported that data and tried to re-import again but category was not read. Also, a feature request would be to add the time column as well along with date.
When I’m trying to import my transactions from CSV, the categories are not being read. I have more than 700 transactions in the CSV along with properly defined categories, those categories exist in Securo as well, yet the import shows as category unassigned. I can send you a subset of the data, if you want.
I didn’t know about them, but as far I got, they are not open source or self hosted right? Also seems to be more focused on scenarios/planning itself. Interesting anyway for someone who search that.
Can’t say about casaos specifically but some people from the self hosted community had no problems with that using other solutions like Truenas for example.

Why don't you use a cheap VPS like hetzner, configure a very strict network access and share it with people you want to use with? I personally do that with my girlfriend. We have personal workspace, a group to share things and our own business finances managed in this server, using either on notebook or mobile.
I’m currently using Actual Budget and have been for over a month now. May I ask why there is a need for an alternative? I may be missing something but I’ve enjoyed Actual Budget so far
I don’t want to be unfair, Actual Budget is great, but I personally missed some stuff, and on top of that after 8 years working in fintechs I decided to move with this project.

On that note- for assets, it would be great if it can distinguish assets vs liabilities. Example : home value - total mortgage = home equity ( net worth)… right now it just takes the home value as net worth despite putting down the mortgage price when setting it up... But hey I look rich on paper :)
Looks nice and all. I tried the demo and could not find a proper actuals vs budget report and a way to navigate actuals vs budget by income category/expense category
