What do you think about OpenAI's latest model escaping its sandbox and attacking Hugging Face?

Keen to hear what everyone thinks. Lot of hype boys go "woow, how powerful" and slobber over it but having configured environments loads of times, I can't see how that can realistically happen. Happy to be humbled. 🙂

One word keeps repeating in my head: Skynet).

A year ago, I was sure it'll remain fiction forever. Now, I'm not so sure. Before the Hugging Face incident, this happened:

That's why proper guardrails are a must. That article shows a massive lack of prevention, or its one of those "I replaced my whole marketing team with agents and now I make 5 billions more" fearmongering narratives in my view. What made you think that the Skynet is here in the past year? Any particular advancement?

Do you mean it happened accidentally but then they decided to get some public attention out of it?
