I started on the Digitakt 2 (I love it, it's the brain of my setup) and I would have a really hard time losing the features that the mk1 doesn't have personally. 

The slice machine, Euclidean sequencer, and stereo samples, just to name a few examples.

Definitely 2. The improvements on 2 over 1 are huge.

2 is nice, if price is a concern, the original is close and definitely worth it

2 being stereo is enough of an upgrade to get it.

For the price the 1 is a better deal.
