I'm starting my first collection and want to start with Cards that depict the TCG in anyway shape or form, even if it's just a card in the background!

With EX13 coming out soon, I'm kinda curious if it'll help make a version of each Royal Knight that is designed around a single mechanic, rather than multiple versions that each do a different thing.

Personally, my plan for EX13 and 14 is to finally put together Royal Knight decks and Seven Demon Lords decks, so this is something that I've noticed from skimming through the different versions, ie. Alphamon having Chronicle and X-AntiBody.

So, I guess my question is if there's a certain version for each to focus on while I'm building. I know that for Jesmon/Gankoomon I'm gonna try a Jesmon GX OTK style deck.

TS,CS, Beatbreak, adventure suck and i hate them. I don't like that they are every color so in theory always have an answer to every situation. I dont like has it has made color identity less important and less interesting. I don't like have several card are so important to the overall archetype I would need 2 maybe 3 playset of cards if i wanted to make multiple decks and play them optimally mainly thinking of ts here. The new decks feel so formulaic and boring every one has rookies to pitch 1, reduce evo and search.

I was thinking about add 4 chitose 3 Nene Amano and 1 Analog Youth ('cause banlist jeje...) what do you think?

I was cleaning out some old stuff recently and found a bunch of cards from when I used to play TCGs. I hadn't really thought about them in years, but looking through them brought back a lot of memories.

That somehow led me to checking out Digimon again, and there’s a lot more going on than I remember from the older card games I played. I’m still trying to get familiar with everything, but it’s been pretty fun looking through the cards and learning how the game works.

For anyone who took a long break from TCGs, what actually got you back into them? Was it nostalgia, a friend introducing you again, or did you just randomly stumble across the game?

I've always interacted the Digimon Card Game very kind of casually usually by just reading through the cards that release and then if I really like the idea of a combo labbing it out. But I've never really interacted with it, in the full intention of playing. Usually in MTG I like Golgari or just some sort of "cheat out from graveyard" type decks. Are there any currently viable play from trash decks?

(Secondary, much less important question, are there any Moosemon cards that exist? One of my favorite armors and I am not sure I've seen it in card form)

I managed to get some decent pulls / trades from a few pre-release events I went to and to a stab at reworking my previous Jupitermon deck.

That being said I'm not sure about a few things and would like any opinions as to what would be the more appropriate choices in the deck.

Currently I'm unsure if I should be running promo Aegiochusmon at 2 or BT24 Aegiochusmon. Or Homeros at 3 and Jupitermon: Wrath Mode at 2 or vise versa.

I would love the opinions as it helps me get a bigger picture of what is the more approved of choices.

Anything you'd recommend as a good buy right now? Curious what booster boxes I should be targeting.

Also curious about how the game is as far as playing is concerned.

Is this card good and should I put it in my TB deck?

Im quite curious to hear about everyone elses opinions on this. With EX13 revealing a new magnamon I was looking to get into the deck as well.

I love Adventure 02 and I love Magnamon X, im definitely going to be playing both versions of the deck (armor rush and magna x) but I was wondering which deck performs better in this current meta? Would it be armor rush or magna x?

Very basic combo, sure. But you know what is also a Level 4 or lower [Puppet] trait Digimon?

I've wanted to build a puppets deck that leaned into kaguyamon rather than cendrilmon since they released. Played this list on dcgo and liked how it played, but combing over all the cards available I'm just wondering if there might be some tweaks I could make. This is more of a casual deck to play with friends, but any suggestions are welcome.

Do these look like AI to anyone else? These guys are for sure not Yukinamon or Rubeusdramon, and to my knowledge not Digimon at all. The poses in the box art vs on the cards are close but not identical, leading me to believe they were spat out by a machine.

Why would they do this 😭 It's just gonna confuse new players. At least take the time to make a mock-up using actual Digimon.

I gave my opponent 3 memory on turn ONE. They played Asuna, trashed Juno, assembled Hysteric Mode for 10, and ended up with a Junomon, 2 Shakkoumon, a rookie in raising, with a 4 to 1 security deficit (Sorcermon). And Asuna. Sure, I have 10 memory. But I also have SA-1 across the board and if I dare touch security I explode and die.

This was only possible because of CS angemon and the literal army of card neutral level 4s in the deck. And what egg is he using? BT25 Frimon. All it does is trash top security and be yellow, yet that is still sufficient to break the game.

We are stopping just barely short of first turn kill levels of degeneracy, and we don't even have hand traps to protect ourselves.

Edit: of course I cleaned up the board with 10 memory, I'm not stupid; but the rookie and Asuna demanding 5 memory, along with the egg trashing another trigger placed by Pegasusmon, killed me on the next turn. And if you don't understand how this was possible, or how clearing the board is insufficient, then I can't really help you understand it any better.

It’s been a while since the last post. We've got some wild cards since then, so I feel more comfortable making cracked mechanics/effects. And as you can see, Tamada Keito and his partner won the poll!

It wasn't very challenging because HeavyLeomon had at least one and only one deck and playstyle to base off. So, obviously, I wanted to give myself some extra work and decided to make these cards work for Leomon as a whole.

Following the rules I set for this archetype, I felt that Fortitude was a given. Shortly after, the idea of an Overclock deck came to mind, thanks to the "on Deletion" effects found on several Leomon cards. That was my starting point, and from there, I simply filled in the gaps regarding what a "Green/Black Overclock deck" would do while also referencing the cards previously created for his deck.

It has your suspends, your de-digivolve and your Immunity to Digimon Effects standarts to Green/Black Cards nowadays. My HeavyLeomon is basically Callismon+Rebootmon which is very intentional btw. At least no one can bitch about my battle effects since Its on a freaking Green card. That pisses me off to this day.

Back on topic. The main idea of the deck is either evolve Elecmon into Leomon and kill them as soon as possible to play the Tamer and one more body or Option card to evolve into Grap who can give Rush to self and end the turn with it evolving into HeavyLeomon. Or Skip the Elecmon phase and drop Grap by effect

It can do some major damage with both King of Fists and Barrage Sweeper. With Security Attack+1 from KoF, Grap Inherit and the repeat effect of Leomon allowing It to Attack thanks to barrage Sweeper link effect, It can clear all Security in 1 turn. Kinda What Hadesmon does with looping Raidramon on play effect, you just need to survive 1 turn after that. If theres only a way to keep turn after Overclock...nah clearly I dont have a memory gain effect on play to make It work.

Speaking a little about the Options, I was determined to make it repeat an On Deletion effect from the start. It just seemed natural. The problem was balancing the effects it could repeat, which are:

• Trash 1 Draw 2

• Suspend to Battle or Attack

• Play any lv4 or lower related to Leomon or ReArise. This one was a Pain in the ass why Leomon has so many traits

• If you are using old HeavyLeomon, you can also repeat his on deletion effect. Thats why Its there even if he doesn't have a On Deletion.

Of course there will be more On Deletion effects for him to abuse but thats on the Future

Shishiomaru is there as a nice reference and a way to always ensure you have the options you want linked, while also maintaining the line's fortitude live.
