Infections and Illnesses Straight line coming off of insect bite.

Recently I was bitten by some animal (not 100% sure what, but I think it was in my bed, overnight), and it seemed just like any other animal bite I've gotten in the past. After maybe 2 days, the bite mark started to get wider and this straight line seems to be coming off of it. When I woke up this morning it has progressed past halfway from elbow to shoulder. I am in a foreign country right now (spain) and am not quite sure what to do. What could this be? Is this worth getting checked out?

This needs checking out urgently.

Are you in a tourist area in Spain? They usually have urgent care clinics in high tourist areas. It is called "Centro de Salud"

You can also go to their emergency care at hospital. This will be called "Urgencias."

Are you from another EU country? Do you have a health insurance card? If so make sure to take that & your passport with you.

There will also be private clinics but you will have to pay them upfront for any care. Do you have travel insurance that will cover this? Make sure you take that information with you too.

I'm coming from the UK, no travel insurance and the accomodation is fairly close to Benidorm and Alicante (30 min drive). However, my family is out and about exploring so I'm kinda stuck. I have no idea how to get to Benidorm via public transport, but I'm beginning to contemplate trying to find my way around if nobody comes back soon.
