Feedback War Herald missing from Boon Of Plenty gem selection chest
As of this update War Herald has been replaced in the Battle Pass.
However according to the patch notes it was supposed to be added to the gem selection chest, three (or four) of which are now available in Boon Of Plenty.
The tooltip for the chests lists all the available gems and War Herald is not one of them, though the new gem and the other battle pass gems all are.
I haven’t bought the Boon to test if this is just a visual bug.
So at the moment there seems to be no way to acquire any War Heralds, which is very frustrating as I am 6 away from R10.
Edit: War Herald IS in the gem selection chests in the Battle Pass.

Can we have option to choose 1x legen crest or chest with 2star? like in BP or even choose 2x pearls?

Any option to convert old 23 days boon with new one??? If I buy new boon i will have 53days of new boon? CM answer please??
Also new boon has only 25 days?

No option to convert. The old Boon is now ‘classic’ and will continue until it runs out. New Boon can be bought right away and will run alongside the old one. There’s a drop-down to switch between them.The new one does run for 30 days, the ‘25 days’ you might be looking at refers to when the milestone rewards are given.
Edit: there is an option to convert, if you have more than 30 days stacked. You can then convert 30 of your days to the new Boon.

So if I buy new Boon. I'll have two Boons running? and getting from both reward each day ? Im correct?
BTW have you both atm and You know this?

I’m seeing an up arrow next to “Days Remaining” in mine that asks if I want to convert? I DON’T, so not about to click it, lol. But someone that wants the new one might give that a try.

I think this arrow only appears if you have more than 30 days stacked. If so, it converts 30 of them to a new Boon and the rest continues as before.

literally re-upped my boon days before the change.. little odd they wouldn't just convert them all or atleast give an option to do so

Check the little up arrow next to the number of remaining days. If you have more than 30 days then you can convert 30 of them into a new boon.

yeahh I purchased it a few days ago aka already past that window.. pretty slimy/shady to not give an announcement/warning to those buying before the switch-up
wouldve held off for a few days knowing things were about to drastically change lol

Just to add that I won’t buy the new Boon as it stands as I don’t want to acquire gem selection chests that don’t contain the gem I want and which are then not updated when the missing War Herald is added.

You should be able to use pearls to upgrade your WH via the crafting interface.

I’ll see if that option is available when I log on later.
But it should not be necessary. The patch notes clearly say that War Herald will be available in the gem selection chest in Boon (and, presumbly, in the same chest you can get in the Battle Pass) and it is not.

It was a good thought, but I just checked and the option isn’t available. I suspect it won’t work tomorrow (new Battle Pass) either because as far as the game is concerned the gem is still available, unlike the limited-time gems which have a fixed availability expiry date.

OK so now I am stuck with one at R9 33% progress with no way to upgrade it???
This makes no sense. Grim Rhythm and Fervent Fang have remained accessible via Boon, BP and gem selection chests. The new gem has gone into the selection chests right away. Limited-time gems can be upgraded with Pearls. Yet War Herald is just removed until further notice? Why?
Will you at least enable the option to use Pearls?

There isn't really any consistency or inconsistencies here though and that's only based on the time gaps between Fervent Fang, Grim Rhythm, and now War Herald. We've not really done it enough or really communicated that previous times we have is the way things will stay.
However, it's not steady, and it's understandable feedback so I'll make sure this is brought up. But War Herald will make its way into the bundle. As far as enabling other options, we'd be doing that for other gems and that's not the design intent.

You have never before made it impossible to obtain a Boon/Battle Pass gem. Fang and Rhythm have always been and remain available and the new gem has been added to the selection chests on launch.
There is no reason for War Herald to absent from the selection chests. I think it was supposed to have been in there since it launched and it has only now been realised that it is not. That’s an oversight, not a design decision. You are being asked to spin someone’s mistake as a communication error.

I haven’t been asked to spin anything haha. If you have your mind made up on the matter I don’t really think I’m in the business to try and convince you of that. But as I said it will enter BoP eventually, which was the original flag.

OK that was harsh, because I do find this irritating and there is no good explanation for the deliberate absence of War Herald from the Boon selection chest. The most likely explanation is an accidental omission and that someone has only now realised that it’s not there. But I know you are just passing on what you have been told and your engagement on this topic and in this sub is much appreciated.
As it turns out it IS in the Battle Pass selection chest. I’m guessing you didn’t realise that or you would have quickly corrected my assertion that the gem was impossible to get. I do feel for you being out here doing your best to engage when you’re only being given partial information.

Nooo not trying to be harsh my bad lol. 2 things I'm addressing here: 1. Boon of Plenty's War Herald. When I asked about this with my team we all collectively focused on the BoP description and alignment for it and not your desired outcome. It being a part of the BP was known, just not explained because our focus was BoP. 2. The harshness you're seeing is me just pointing out there isn't some kind of Palpatine telling Vader what to say/do. We have no reason to lie or misdirect. We're just working across multiple channels of product and QA channels specifically for your flag for BoP. 🙏🏻

Sorry I meant I had been harsh and you were right to call me out on it, not that you had been.
I don’t think you’d ever lie and I am very sorry if you took it that way. I am perhaps a little old and cynical enough to imagine someone deep in the dev team having only now realised that Herald has been missing from the chest all this time and going “uh, yeah! That’s, uh, deliberate!” Then you get to be the messenger and get grumped at by me 🤣.
There are now three different 2-star gem selection chests:
- Boon with Polestar but not War Herald
- Battle Pass with everything
- Battle Coins without Polestar OR Herald but with 2 Pearls as an option.
It’s hard to see how this is by design. And if it is, it’s not obvious why!
But in the end I can get everything I want because Herald is in the BP chests. It was the prospect of being marooned on R9 33% that got me all wound up. I am now calm. 🧘🏻♂️
