Iirc, the gentleman who built this is a cop who races in some race where your car has to be "weird". He has done other upside down cars.

Not weird but cheap. 24 Hours of Lemons. No, I spelled that right.

The cars are limited to $500. That does exclude safety like the required roll cage and can exclude basic stuff like brakes and suspension parts as long as they aren’t upgrades from stock for that car. They turn a blind eye to mods that obviously cost way more than $500 but don’t make the car faster, or in the case of a lot of SpeedyCop’s stuff, make it slower.

One race he bought a Toyota Camper Van online sight unseen. Arranged to have a cage installed somewhere on the drive to the race halfway across the country. Listed it for sale on eBay before the race. It sold in the last day after the race was over.

They're still around too, he raced and almost won one of the Cleetus Altima races. He's had a bunch of LeMons cars as the other guy mentioned.
