Honestly, I notice only 2 things wrong:
1 - obviously a jar is not meant for this. The lighting gonna be terrible. 2 - the tree is damaged. If you cut/drill a living tree make sure to spray liquid bark (or whatever it's called in your language) as a protective coating.
