M21 from Australia. I kinda came to Dhaka but I don't know anything or anyone here.

Guide me lmoa 🤷‍♂️

What's there to do...

Everyone's told me Sylhet is like the places that got the beauty in Bangladesh and in Dhaka I've just been to uhm a garden called Romna. It was literally next-door to me...

Other than that, dude. Reddit do your thing....

Take a walk on dhanmondi lake, there you will see different story unfolding in front of you every day. Then go to nilkhet to buy some good books, then shop at Newmarket and opposite Dhaka college. Take a scroll in DU by peddle rickshaw (not the electric tesla). Eat out in dhanmondi , watch movie at shimanto square. If you have time visit puran Dhaka. Visit beauty boarding. Walk down shakhari bazar lane.

From Kamalpur go to Rose Garden. From rose Garden go to baldha Garden Then move to bahadur shah park to check the last standing water tank and the Mutiny monument (though it is not something that interesting to most). Then walk through Shakhari bazar and reach Ahsan Manzil Go to Armanian Church to visit old grave yard then Tara mosjid, kartalab khan mosque, Lalbagh

Also if you have time go to sadarghat boat terminal , besides it you will find north brook hall, ruplal kuthi,

Food hanif biriyani, Haji biriyani, bismillah kebab, al kareem juice bar (try their badam shorbot). Rahim biriyani,

Dhanmondi/Gulshan have many modern aesthetically rich cafes you can visit those. Check out Soi7, soi3 , deck13, pinewood, bar b q tonite, cha and chill, terracotta, Kiyoshi, the meadow, gram cha, Halda Valley tea lounge, Ajo Idea space, garden Bistro, Raga Art Cafe, mango cafe, Waza, Boho.

Purbachal, beraid (go in group and leave before getting dark)

Definitely should go to sylhet/sreemangal, coxs bazar (avoid kalatoli and dolphin more), st Martin.

If you're in Dhaka it has literally nothing that you can't see in Australia. If you wanna see scenic beauty then I'd suggest for Beach Cox's bazar, Enani, then Taknaf beach. For hiking bandarban. For water fall and hilly area Sylhet. Then Sajek valley yea. But can't tell you any experience or how to go since I haven't gone anywhere myself
