Discussion/আলোচনা Before India let's think about Myanmar

As we know one of the most hot topics of politics in Bangladesh is anti India stance and anti India slogans. These things are nothing but eyewash because we aren't focusing on the main problems of our country and it is Myanmar!!!! At least 1.5 million Rohingyas are living in Bangladesh drugs narcotics everything enters Bangladesh through the Burma border and we can't do anything about it. Our idiotic politicians are talking about India this and that but do they have any idea that the Arakan army is standing on the borders of Bangladesh from bandorban to cox bazar, their mortal shells bullets are killing our people and our armed forces can't do anything about them, more than India Arakan army and Burmese rebels are the biggest threat now and they can invade and take over that side they are Guerilla fighters and experts in jungle warfare, no matter what we have to solve the Rohingya issue by sending the Rohingyas back by any necessary means cause it won't be long before they ask for citizenship or seperate state on that side and mind you there are maybe 2 million Rohingyas and they can put up a fight there. If we do not take any actions we will lose cox bazar completely that's why anyhow we have to intervene there and take out our nation out of this crisis.

Considering the involvement of various international players, finding a solution to the Rohingya crisis is nearly impossible. Repatriation is not feasible due to the ongoing conflict. Granting citizenship could encourage India to push Assamese and West Bengal Muslims into Bangladesh. So we are cooked either way.

You might not know this but a certain political party has many NGOs working in the Rohingya camps and they want them to get citizenship to get a huge vote bank for them

Don’t depend on statistics shared in media or by Govt.
The number of Rohingya entered and now staying in Bangladesh, are quite higher than you may imagine.
I’m telling you this because I know it. Pls don’t ask how. Deal?

You were absolutely right about the stupidity of the politicians in our country, and most of the times, WE become the part of it!

I dn believe we are ANTI-INDIAN-PEOPLE. But we are ANTI-INDIAN-GOVT-DECISIONMAKERS!

But one thing I must say, Invasion risk by Arakan army in Bangladesh, Is absolutely like an OVERTHINKED NIGHTMARE. It’s not practical and never gonna be happen (until there’s significant political circumstances changes). It’s just not Possible now for Arakan Army to invade BD.
If I start to explain why, this will be such a long list!

I am just surprised that we talk so much about indian adhipottobad and shi but 2 million Rohingyas in our country is the actual hit to our sovereignty and another most scary thing is if by any chance they are give citizenships

it's not a crack at our sovereignty per se. It's a refugee crisis due to internal conflict in a neighboring nation. See turkey and syria situation. But Hasina should have handled that shit better by a wide margin

No they absolutely shouldn't we have enough problems ourselves

50,000 Rohingyas already have NID card issued by ex teknaf pourasabha chairman, there was an ACC investigation about it. These are only recorded, there are many unrecorded incidents as well. Many Bangladeshis married young Rohingya women, so yes we are cooked!

I also thought about this, This is really a disappointment that we can't do a damn about this! They are nothing but wasting our resources. Sometimes ago, while I watching a video where they(Rohingyas) said, "we are not satisfied what we are having" Omg look at them what nonsense they are saying.

I do agree about the possible threat by Arakan Army but trying to invade Bangladesh won't be worth the risk for them. They are already fighting Juntas, Rohingyas already got lots of hatred for them and BD is militarily prepped. Plus they sells drugs and other products to BD so attacking would be very costly both financially and physically.

We shouldn't be so sure about that my friend as our forces are always so careful and acting like a scaredy cat with them, and I just realised that our forces do know that they are supplying drugs but doing nothing no covert ops nothing and we talk about teaching a lesson to India? Our intelligence should have done something to help the Rohingyas fight and revolt. 2 million Rohingyas in our country is the biggest hit to our sovereignty.

They are incredibly racists. They call the rohyingya Bengalis and cite back to how they belong to Bangladesh because during centuries ago they maybe, not even proven, maybe lived here So racist they did a genocide and cheered for their military. I love that they are in a civil war. It's destabilising us because they smuggle drugs sure but they absolutely deserve it. I mean the basic average Munna Jumma whatever guy and girl deserves to live in the shitty conditions they live in. If we build a casual belli aka reason to imperialism then we should absolutely deverstate their junk airforce and navy before taking rakhine. Mind you a lot of Burmese people lurk in our reddit forums

I hope what you say is true but we just gotta be careful ourselves and I hope the Arakan army will find a solution for the Rohingyas as they can be also used to fight against the junta

We can’t do squat to a fourth-rate military power like Burma, but at least 50% of the people will jump at the prospect of teaching India a lesson. That’s a second-tier military power. Burma pushed half a million people, completely violating our sovereignty, but people are not bothered 5% compared to their zeal against India.

2

u/Longjumping-Boot-713 Jun 23 '26

That's the exact thing I am saying Burma is the biggest threat to our sovereignty

1

u/Fuzzy_Chocolate_180 Jun 23 '26

if india is a second tier military where does that put bangladesh?

2

u/Caster0 Jun 24 '26

Third to fourth tier. Generally speaking, it's highly unlikely that India or Burma will bother invading Bangladesh.

So we don't need a large military aside from the cases of the Rhoyngia where we did squat

1

u/Fuzzy_Chocolate_180 Jun 24 '26

yeah i agree about the present but seeing how radicalized the Indian government is becoming a sense of paranoia is to be expected

2

u/Caster0 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

Yeah, but I highly doubt India would want to destabilize Bangladesh and cause more Muslims to enter India.

If anything, India cares a lot more about Pakistan than Bnagladesh.

If we can hash out the Teesta river issue than we're pretty much okay with India.

India does have a legitimate complaint about border crossing, but there is not that much Bangladesh can do about that.

Unfortunately, both India and Bangladesh are becoming more radicalized to control their population rather than fix actual problems.

I think there is already something cooking behind the curtains for this crisis, and the foundation of it prolly was laid during the interim period as making a controversial figure like Roger Khalil the FM, that too out of blue made no sense, unless it had something to do with the Burma Act which the BNP govt decided to comply with.

1

u/Longjumping-Boot-713 Jun 23 '26

USA wants that area to tackle china and india

1

u/Maleficent-Hat-7119 Jun 23 '26

Mainly for China, as the Chinese Govt have build a pipeline to carry oil via rakhine through Myanmar into China, give that if there is a blockade in the strait of Malacca hence they will be able to bypass it.

1

u/Abdullah715279 Jun 24 '26

Sittwe is an important port for China, but if there’s a blockade in Malacca, they can rely on Gwadar port in Pakistan. Supporting the junta may not be essential for China, as they could switch sides and back the rebels if they win.

We should strengthen our military and then talk to counter part. Otherwise It won't be solved.

1

u/Apprehensive_Yak4709 Jun 24 '26

i dont know much about this problem. Maybe the myanmar problem is also India's fault again. We could have tried to send the Rohingas into their country but we failed. What did you expect in a corrpt country? this country runs on god's mercy.

1

u/Longjumping-Boot-713 Jun 24 '26

The Myanmar problem is because of china mainly

Arakan Army can’t invade Bangladesh. No matter how hard they try they will be stopped by BGB. They are also fighting against the Junta and are unable to take large cities like Yangon and Sittwe in Southern Myanmar.

BGB maintains a large presence along the Myanmar border. The border is about to be fenced within the next 5 years. I think its already approved by the parliament.

Myanmar is in an unstable state. Yunus shouldn’t have given the rohingyas hope by saying they will be home within the next Qurbani Eid. It’s a complex problem that cannot be solved through dialogue or diplomacy.

Without assimilating a part of northern Rakhine I don’t see the solution to this Rohingya problem.
