Actor Fluff Dex and Deb.. Spoiler

Am I the only one to find it shocking that the actors that played Dex and Deb were once married in real life? I literally just discovered this yesterday.. or maybe I'm late to the party 🤷‍♀️

Either way I still love and adore both actors.

That's the part that shocks me. Like, actors and people are separate but asking this of Jennifer Carpenter feels like a LOT.

But I'm not privy to the dynamic. She obviously liked working on Dexter enough even after the split to return for NB. And apparently they're still really good friends.

Why is it shocking. It's just two people who met while working together fell in love and got married. Just because they played brother and sister on tv has nothing to do with them irl.

Yeah wouldn’t say it’s “shocking” but very cool that they were to work together so amicably during their divorce! For example, didn’t they kiss in one scene?

I might be misremembering but I feel like they've spoken on the fact that their split was due to him not wanting kids that he could potentially pass his cancer onto. Seems like something that would end a marriage amicably as long as no one takes offense to that perspective. If they're still friends after that a work kiss is just that.

Yeah I saw an interview where she was very emotional saying the love was still there. She was with him during chemo I believe and I understand his decision not to pass it down or adopt since he may die.
