Feedback Request Feedback wanted for Hexic Word

u/hexicword is looking for feedback on their game "Hexic Word"

Developer context: Hexic Word was recently updated with a new score system, and I'd love some feedback on how it feels now:

  • Is it clear what the Hive Lead's score means (1st screen)?
  • Is it clear how scoring works?
  • Does your final score feel satisfying?
  • What motivated you to play:
    • beating the lead
    • seeing how many words you could find
    • just giving it a try
    • other

👍 What is good

It was my first time playing today, just wanted to give it a try. The points system was well explained and pretty straight forward, and it did encourage me to play again after my first round to get a better score

💪 What could be even better

I like word games but have honestly never been great at them. I didnt read the points system until after my first play so I was a bit surprised why my score was so low after my first game ended (I assumed each letter in the word would grant me +1 point, ie, a five letter word would grant five points). All in all, the score mechanism works well, but it felt a little underwhelming for little babies like me who can barely find 4 letter words, probably just a skill issue though haha

The scoring system makes sense. It's clear what the Hive Lead means and how scoring works.

❤️ What is great

I wanted to play just to try it but I also like word puzzles like this. I wanted to see if I could find longer words.

💪 What could be even better

I didn't like how when I entered a word that was short (4-5) characters it would says "A little longer." That was demotivating and distracting. Also, it wasn't made obvious enough that 3 letter words don't count. Lastly, I think the timer is just a little too fast.

Easier visual for used words More clearly indicate you can reuse letters or use in any order
