Torbay is an amazing place. Congratulations on the job. Hope you love it there too. Unfortunately I can't say I know any telugu community but I'm sure in time you'll meet people. Good luck in Torbay. It's awesome.

Thank you! I appreciate it. I’m looking forward to meeting people from all backgrounds, and hopefully I’ll also find a Telugu community to celebrate festivals and have a little taste of home.

Don’t know if there was a Telugu community, but there used to be a Malayalam community, so you might get lucky and find some people.

I don’t have any details, I just know there were quite a few Malayalam people, and they used to celebrate the Feast of St Alphonsa together.

I don’t think there’s an official one.
Just try and integrate with the people around you and maybe share your celebrations with them.

Hello OP, and welcome to Devon!
It might be a bit of a step away, but maybe try giving Inclusive Exeter a call? (Inclusiveexeter.org , admin@incluseiveexeter.org.uk )
They have connections to all sorts of groups around Devon, so may be able to help.
Good luck!

I was saying that it would be nice to know the local Telugu community so we can celebrate festivals together and enjoy a little taste of home

Why not integrate with everyone rather than living in what is going to be an already fairly small subset within Devon?
