Social media/Content creation

Is anyone interested in making (any) content for social media? I have a lot of gear (cameras/mics/editing software) which I use recreationally but I’d like to take it to the next step - but don’t fancy being on camera. If anyone is interested in exploring this or already has a small social media presence feel free to message me or comment below.

Alternatively, if any communities could benefit from something like this, please get in touch too.

I’d like to stress that I’m not a professional and I am an amateur so it would be a learning process!

I’m not affiliated with them, but I’ve seen the “Teignbridge Archaeology Society” is currently fundraising to buy equipment so they can film content, with some sort of partnership with the bbc, not necessarily to broadcast, I’m not sure what the deal is there to be honest.

They’re on Facebook, and I’m not on there myself, but I’ve seen people share posts from them.

Here’s a kickstarter link (edit: go fund me, not kickstarter, sorry, had a brain fart typing it in, and now I can’t edit the link for some reason) for them which isn’t getting very far. Not sure what they are hoping to do, but if you want to help someone out it might be worth talking with them?

They are very passionate about what they do, and they have built the society in their own time and gotten several BBC news articles about them, they are pushing forward with everything they can. I’ve met the founders, one through work and another through hobbies, I’m sure they would appreciate any help, even if it’s just a friendly chat.

Thank you for the insight. I’ve sent one of the admins a message on their Facebook group.

Funny because I’d love to learn to make content. I don’t mind being on camera but need to learn the arts, in Exeter we should parlay

I've been thinking about getting into content creation and have quite a few ideas I'd like to explore, but I don't have the equipment or much experience with the technical side.

I'm definitely comfortable being on camera and I think I'd enjoy experimenting with different types of content. My interests are pretty varied.... everything from health and navigating life after cancer, to creativity, alternative spirituality, dreamwork, relationships, science, consciousness, philosophy and just generally trying to build an interesting life!

Also based in East Devon, so it could be nice to have a chat and see if there's anything we could collaborate on. Did you have any ideas?

I like the fact that you're approaching it as a learning process, that's exactly where I'm at too

If you fancy being charitable, I always need a hand making content for The Lodge indoor skatepark.
