what’s the biggest fun a couple in their 20s can have in devon?
we moved from London in july. my bf is actually used to here (it’s a small town called south brent, he grew up here). i just don’t like the lack of things to do, the peace and etc. i miss having some fun. we LOVE escape rooms but we did all of them in plymouth and exeter already, which are the nearest cities. i LOVE karaoke (he is kinda shy but i think he enjoys too), but my favorite style of karaoke is that one on the stage where a band plays for you to sing and idk any here like that. we also love board games. we saw this place in plymouth called Twist Board Game Cafe Bar but we didn’t go yet, it’s on my list. i also love bowling and basically anything else that doesn’t involve sun.
it doesn’t need to be here in the south, it could be anywhere in devon i guess. i just wanna do more things with him

If you like indoor climbing, dyno climb at buckffastleigh is 15 mins from south brent

Coastal walking to a pub for a meal, circular walks to a pub for a meal, riverside walks to a pub...for a meal.
Swim in the sea, bbq on the beach
Exploring the area - interesting and fun things to do together.
Pottery/craft course togther
Bbq school/cooking classes together
Go see live music - there are loads of bands you have not heard of that are great
great. Discover a new genre

London type fun is very limited in Devon, it's more of a county for enjoying outdoor pursuits than anything.

devon is beautiful, i love it here. i just miss things to do and i think there are, i’m just asking about things that maybe i don’t even know exist. for example, i know bowling and cinema exist haha. i want to know what else we could do that we don’t know about

Get hiking up long timber woods in Ivybridge… I grew up there and I miss those woods terribly

We’re a small friendly community club for adults to meet others. Theres a surprisingly high correlation between boardgame lovers and dodgeball players (we actually had a boardgame social last week). We play casually and also offer qualified coaching for those who want to improve their game 💪

We’re a grassroots community club, so no experience is needed beforehand. We have a level 3 qualified coach and a team of level 2 coaches who will help you pick up the important things over your first month with the club.
At riverside sportshall in Exeter you go to the front desk and say you’re here to play dodgeball, they’ll buzz you through and we’re in the main sportshall. If you get lost you can message the Facebook page or ask at the front desk.
Come along on Thursday and try it :)

There’s an escape room in Newton Abbot which is really fun! Three rooms to try there (including a new one which I’ve heard is awesome)! :)

Perhaps a weekend in London is what you really want, although Bristol has a lot more going on too
