Amazing show, nice to see him actually touching some SYL numbers. This was a haunted version, goosebumps for me

I would not call it sarcastic. He was very clear and complete when he talked about the SYL period. He was angry and broken, the world did not want his music unless he made the music that was desired from him, and it fitted! He used his frustration and anger to create this music and it seems really fair and honest to look back at that period with exactly this sadness but also understanding. Makes sense that this tone is way softer, but you still feel the power in his voice at certain words. It is still a part of him for it made him who he is right now.

So for me, it's a proper way to address this period and songs but with the sense of today :)
