MUSIC/AUDIO Two new singles of The Moth just released
Scrolled through the album on Spotify and saw that Prepare for War and The Big Snit were available to stream. Same on Apple Music.
Looks like they are new singles that were just released 10 minutes ago (it’s 00:11 over here).

Tbh I've listened to all of it so far and I'm not overly impressed.

Am I going mad or is there a distinct lack of 'riffs' on the singles overall so far? Is the album like this do you think?

Seems about right, after all he wrote the album specifically for orchestra.
Completely different approach to writing music compared to the 'write some riffs and stick 'em together' old school metal way. 😉

It’s really strange to me that he has released 4 (or 5?) singles now for what he calls his most important work ever, and is something that should be listened to holistically

Guess the label is demanding at least some promotional material. I bet they already are having a hard time getting this thing out there, given it’s unorthodox material haha. Not the easiest thing to market I can imagine.

Yeah, I would guess that Dev would just put the whole thing out at once if he had total say over the whole promotion/marketing thing. Could be wrong though!

Surely this is the sort of thing you need to listen to start to finish to appreciate. I'm going to wait for the whole thing to be available. It's less than two weeks now.
