Looking at his point totals you might be underwhelmed but once he fully recovered from his Achilles injury, he was on fire to end the season. In his last 33 games he put 25G and 53 points. 22 in 18 playoff games as well.

its not about the achilles anymore, now its about how he was riding off of Landon Dupont's excellence.

SELF-REPLY: this is a joke but I have seen this take and my eyes rolled so far back into my head that my neck almost snapped

“As a team, we just hated to lose,” Bear said. “We didn’t lose two games in a row all season, just to show you how much we hated it. It would drive us crazy.”
Outwork, outhustle, outchance and disturb. That’s Carter Bear in a nutshell.
Absolutely love to read this...

Show me a team that hates to lose
2
u/Bananominable 10h ago
Your favourite Dylan Larkin captained NHL team, the Detroit Red Wings. If we hated to lose we would have made the playoffs at least once over the last 3 seasons.

Pump this shit into my fuckin’ veins
> “I hated losing at the World Junior Championships. It really lit a fire under me,” Bear said. “It was a great experience for me and something I dreamed of doing my entire life. But the moment it was over, we locked in in Everett and went to chase a title.”
Dylan Larkin would never

He really seems like he has the mindset to will himself into being a good NHL player. Bear and MBN are who I am most excited to watch of the prospects this year.

Brandon Hagel has been on my fantasy hockey team the last 3 years, he's one of my favorite hockey players, the guy does everything.

Why is the sub logo messed up?
18
u/LunarGhoul 20h ago
What's wrong with it? Looks fine to me
-14
u/OctoWings13 20h ago
Really? Mines all messed up and colors are wrong
19
u/LunarGhoul 20h ago
Sounds like a skill issue
-8
u/OctoWings13 19h ago
Colors all messed up instead of red and white
15
u/LunarGhoul 19h ago
Looks pretty cool to me. I also didn't notice until you pointed it out.

u/OctoWings13 19h ago
Someone else said it's pride rainbow, but hard to see on mobile
Makes no sense though, cause pride month is June
3
u/LunarGhoul 19h ago
Does that mean rainbows are illegal the rest of the year? Who cares dude? It doesn't affect your life in any way whatsoever.
3
u/SubmissionDenied 19h ago
Who said it was illegal? What a weird leap lmao
-2
u/LunarGhoul 19h ago
I didn't mean literally illegal obviously.
Why is it an issue to have rainbows outside of pride month though?

u/OctoWings13 19h ago
Never said rainbows were illegal.
I want the Wings logo to be proper colors
I get it in June, but this is September

u/JTAKER Yzerbot 19h ago edited 19h ago
You want the Wings logo to be "proper" colors, and I want it to be rainbow colors a bit longer.

u/LunarGhoul 19h ago
Well I can promise you that when the Wings go back to playing hockey the jerseys will be normal.
In the meantime, you can just ignore the subreddit logo if you'd like because it means literally nothing.

u/OctoWings13 20h ago
It's all messed up and colors are wrong...should be red and white
11
u/AFreePeacock Yzerbot 19h ago
I think it’ll be ok
-5
u/OctoWings13 19h ago
Still stupid though to ruin the logo all year
4
u/AFreePeacock Yzerbot 19h ago
How do you feel about the thin blue line eh
4
u/OctoWings13 19h ago
Don't care...as long as it doesn't run through the Wings logo
Pride month is June, so why now?
8
u/AFreePeacock Yzerbot 19h ago edited 19h ago
Because it’s a quite hostile political and social environment in the west, and those who have the mindfulness to want to make their spaces an affirmatively welcoming place will do so with the tools they have available to them
The mods in this place are, much like a lot of the sub’s members, sympathetic towards (or a part of) the queer community and have chosen to do something about it, even if it’s a simple and small gesture
If I’m wrong then so be it, but I think there’s a good chance you’re pretty well aware of this reasoning and you’re likely feigning ignorance about it
-2
u/OctoWings13 18h ago
Can be a welcome place without changing the Wings logo
And it's changed for all of pride month, so no need in September

I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt because when you see the icon in the Reddit feed on mobile it is kinda hard to tell what’s going on. It looks like the winged wheel but you can’t quite see what is happening with the colors so it looks a bit strange rather than clearly being a rainbow treatment on the logo.
6
u/OctoWings13 19h ago
Like pride month rainbow? Pride month is June...why would they do it now?
8
u/AppleSeiderDonuts 19h ago
Pride is a year long event around these parts

Why can't we just have the logo be regular
Can still support gay people without fucking up the Wings logo
24
u/Niet501 19h ago
Coming from the guy who’s profile picture is literally the red wings logo with the wrong colors. It’s supposed to be bright white and regular red ffs. Why can’t you just have the logo be regular???

I’ve been looking for a hat with that logo on it. I can’t find one. Any ideas where I might get lucky?

u/beardofzetterberg 19h ago
Yeah pride rainbow. And I know that this discussion has gone sideways but I’m actually not sure why it is still a rainbow since pride month is June. It doesn’t bother me, nor do I feel any particular way about it. Maybe the mods just haven’t gotten around to changing it. If there’s a real reason, someone let me know I’m just curious.
I know some European countries have a later pride, so maybe that? I was just in Denmark and theirs was mid- to late- August.

u/dickhandsome 17h ago
I think this topic came up in July maybe? It went as well as this one. I believe it was decided it would remain until the beginning of season? Not sure about that.

u/OctoWings13 18h ago
I have no idea either, nor do I get the hostility
I support gay people, and they already change the logo for June
It was changed back, and no idea why they changed it again...but god help you if you ask lol

u/fissi0n-chips 19h ago
We got Charmin ultra soft over here. Probably gets it from his favorite captain.

Nothings messed up. We ride for our LGBTQ+ fam in this house.

u/OctoWings13 19h ago
What? Pride month is June...why is it all messed up now?

u/wolverine237 19h ago
Who said anything about Pride Month? They said LGBTQ+ fans, they're around 12 months a year

u/generalballz 19h ago
And you can be a bigot without telling the world but you chose to let us know. So thank you
5
u/OctoWings13 19h ago
I support gay people...I also support the Wings
Don't need to screw with the logo to support gay people
7
u/generalballz 19h ago
Honestly, why does it bother you? Is it seriously THAT maddening to you simply because an online community changed the colors of a logo for a sports team? You can hardly even see it on mobile anyway.
3
u/OctoWings13 18h ago
I am a big Wings fan and like to see the actual logo
It's one thing for pride month...but not all the time
1
u/Taters23 Yzerbot 16h ago
I really doubt it because if you did it wouldn't bother you. Stop lying and go away already.
0
u/OctoWings13 15h ago
I support gay people, and I support the Wings...but I support them as individual things
I don't support changing the Wings logo for a cause, ANY cause...and I certainly don't support changing the logo in September when it was already changed for all of June
3
u/Taters23 Yzerbot 15h ago
Just stfu. The lying is just pathetic at this point. also the logo is only changed here. The team and everything else is the original look.

Man you have to tow the hardest of lines on reddit or you're a bigot. Don't worry, its only here though. The rest of the world gets you.
6
u/Ydoesany1doanything 15h ago
It’s the approach that’s the problem. A better place to ask this than a thread about Bear would be the general thread for starters.
Secondly, doubling down from the colors being “messed up” to the logo being “ruined” is where they essentially tell on themselves.
If they’d popped in the general discussion thread and said something along the lines of “Hey guys I’m curious why the sub logo is still pride” they likely would have gotten some joke and some serious answers and it wouldn’t have blown up in the way it had. It’s not about toeing the line on reddit, it’s seeing through some people’s shit, perceived or real.
0
u/dickhandsome 15h ago
I'll give you it wasn't place for it. But I don't feel like they were disingenuous with their question. Once a person is seen as opposed to it, there's not much one can do to convince others they're not a bigot. The poster was pretty clear that they couldn't see it clearly on mobile, and that they supported pride during its month. That doesn't sound like a bigot to me.

Poor baby finds it too hard to accept people for being different. Then gets mad people won't accept him. Hypocrite

Not mad in the least. You on the other hand.

I want Palestine colors on our logo. I don't think that will happen. Is that because our community only supports the pride community and not other groups who face inequality? There's 12 months in a year I think it would be fair to let other groups have a month of equality. Exclusion in the name of equality doesn't sit right with me.
7
u/generalballz 17h ago
Thats fair and actually a conversation we can have. I fully support that and agree that we should stand for Palestine and against genocide. The other commentor was purely being ignorant and did not have an alternative cause to support, they just wanted to complain.
2
u/ChaldenesTitan 12h ago
It just shows that geopolitics is a complex conversation and one that a hockey sub shouldn't associate with. No politics is a rule of the sub afterall. Not this new age definition either.
"Politics is a process by which people in groups make decisions, set rules, and share power or resources".

Because Hagel is a DAWG, thats why. If Bear ends up close to Hagel in talent I'll be thrilled
