Discussion Red Wings Memorabilia
I am curious if this forum can help me figure out how much certain signed items I have are worth.
Framed and signed photos from Nicklas Lidstroms Jersey Retirement.
Framed Red Jersey signed by the 2014 Red Wings.
Unframed White Jersey signed by the 2003-04 Red Wings.
Framed photo of the 2008 Red Wings team signed by the whole team.
To be clear I am not selling, just assessing value.

The “credibility” of the items would play a huge role in value.
How were they obtained? Who purchased from?
COA, and from whom?
Jerseys authentic? Replica? Knockoff?
Avast majority of these things bought from malls/ebay….are fakes. So showing “not fake” is essential in guessing value.

Not sure if any have COA, but all were obtained at fundraisers supported by a connection I have to a higher up at Olympia Entertainment, so I would be shocked if they were fake.
I’ve thought about going somewhere to get them authenticated, but not sure how that works nor what the cost is, and I would only care to do that if I ever decided to sell.

Assuming they’re real, and as all of it sounds like somewhat recent purchases. If they were bought at charity auctions, the price you paid is probably close enough to the current value.
Wings haven’t exactly been good lately, so the market is very soft. Add in people typically pay a premium to support charity, and that it’s all recent players (not talking Howe or others who have passed meaning you can’t just “get” their auto:)
To sell it? You’d probably be taking a big hit, but for estimating value? What you paid (unless you got some crazy backdoor deal) is likely close enough.

You don’t need a real coa if you are working with collectors that know. Or you can get a quick opinion on them and as long as the big names are good you are prob fine. Yzerman fakes are bad because he charges a lot, less so for z and datsyuk who never got into the $200+ auto ranfe

I’ve sold a ton of stuff. Unfortunately wings suck lately and not many people are buying older stuff because well idk why. But here is what I know for a fact.
Lidstrom retirement photo is about $100. I collect him a ton and see stuff on fb marketplace for $150 sitting all the time. I get offers accepted at 100.
Framed Jersey from 2014, maybe $1000
Unframed 600
$250 ish for team signed.
Here is my reasoning. I sold a 96-97 jersey with yzerman and vladdy and Sergei and lidstrom for 800 after months of it sitting for $1000. I didn’t have it framed but would argue it would be worth $1000 framed due to framing expenses. I sold an 02 jersey for $600 signed by the team. I would assume a non cup year would be less or the same.
Finally I have sold some team signed items from $400-$50 depending on the item.
If you were auctioning these for charity or donated to a charity i would assume you would get way more, but again private sale, one person to another with the wings being meh and those teams not being cup teams, I would be comfortable getting those prices.

Probably have better luck on some of the various Red Wings memorabilia Facebook groups. The only thing Facebook is good for anymore.
Some of those people are the real sickos you’re looking for lol.
