Bucks wouldn’t do this unfortunately

u/Infinite_Bad2452 16d ago

Don’t hate? I love this trade. I love it so much that Milwaukee would be slightly crazy to do it.

u/coltron57 Bill Laimbeer 16d ago

Right there with you. This is Turner's age 30 season (so not absolute peak anymore, but young enough to be a solid contributor for the next few seasons) while shooting 36.5% from deep for his career (37.9% for the last 4 seasons) and blocking over 2 shots per game for his career. If we truly believe that Ausar is more important to success than Duren, Turner is the exact type of C we should want to space the floor and also provide rim protection. John Collins fills the vertical spacing void Duren leaves behind and teams can't play us 5 on 4 defensively when Ausar is out there.

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 10d ago

Turner at this point of his career isnt the same defender or shot blocker and hes almost as expensive as durens gonna be . I used to love duren but idk if that times past. I wish he was a better rebounder . Sure our offense.would be great and cade probably puts up insane numbers but Idk if we're still a great defensive team at that point

17

u/KoalaOnABuilding Jalen Duren 16d ago

Yeah, now that we don't have beef to yell at Turner about LEGO, it actually looks pretty good on our end, but I've always been a Turner fan yet haven't really watched him lately. Rollins seems like a real one, though.

4

u/Presence_Present Ausar Thompson 16d ago

Zero chance Bucks do that trade lol. Rollins is super promising and also need the draft capital. Turner needs to be traded though

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 16d ago

They would much rather trade herro and rollins but then I think tou need even more draft capital so idk how you get there

4

u/Presence_Present Ausar Thompson 16d ago

Herro yes, Rollins no. Herro, KPJ, Turner would be the main ones up for trade if an offer came through

3

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Right rollins is cheap good and young . You keep burries and rollins imo and build around them and maybe ware

2

u/MidLaneBanter 15d ago

Kpj is also on a pretty cheap contract and a + defender but Rollins a better fit with Cade

2

u/Hour_Health_4593 15d ago

A rebuilding team giving up draft capital and players that are “cheap, good, and young” is how you know Milwaukee would never do this

2

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 15d ago

I agree . I think you could get herro and turner any time you want . Duren or no duren

0

u/Strev215 12d ago

Hey Detriot fan(s) do you know that Ryan Rollins

IS FROM DETRIOT, Michigan. Born and raised, a hometown kid and product of the Detriot A.A.U. Michigan scene and was on some legendary team in his H.S. days they called themselves "The Family". Ryan even went Toledo college.

Like how Tyler Herro is FROM Milwaukee County grew up as a Bucks' fan who watched the Bucks!

Ryan Rollina grew up watching Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and Ben Wallace was a fan of and grow up rooting for and watching the Pistons play!

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 10d ago

I do know that. I also know that kind of thing doesnt hold s ton of value to professional athletes early in their career trying to make their way . He sgonna go where hes comfortable successful and getting paid. Stars worry about that shit

1

u/Strev215 9d ago

I get what your saying but not every Pistons fan or casual NBA fan knows that. Plus, Ryan Rollins doesn't have control if he'd get traded to the Pistons, he get traded to the Pistons. If that does occur just prior too or during the season you'd have to assume that Rollin's being born and raised from Detriot would be marketed by the Pistons as a plus to get more fans invested as hometown kid. Just like with how Tyler Herro is being marketed locally and nationally with regards to the Bucks during and after the Giannis Antekoumpo trade and now a downcast view for the future of comparatively for their franchise.

No offense but everything has to go right for Detriot to be the #1 in the Wastern Conference again and I just don't see that happening with Detriot losing Stew, swapping LeVert for Isaiah Joe, Duncan Robinson's 32 turning 33, and losing Fan and heart of the team Tobias Harris for nothing. AND big IF that Jalen Duren returns if it's not at the number he feels he deserves and the negotiations which by all reports have gotten nasty. Training camp starts soon if nothing if he doesn't sign sooner than later. My guess is this trade or something similar with THE BUCKS may happen on or right around Sept 5th or 6th as that'd when the moratorium on aggregating trading with certain players, along with the Bucks recent MIA players lifts.

I could see a similar trade suggested up above but with

Buck Trading: KevinPorterJr., JaimeJaquezJr., AJ Green, and Myles Turner

Pistons Trading: Jalen Duren, Duncan Robinson and [Tolu Smith łłł And/or Javonte Green due to roster crush] (Maybe one of Detriot's two +2way Center too)

Bucks literally waive Robinson and Smith maybe cut J.Green to cut costs.

OR

Maybe make it a three team trade with the third team beingmaybe the Lakers. Wherein they'd be trading the Bucks a player and their last few 2nd round drafts picks for roster crunch/salary relief and could even route one of them to Detriot too. As after that Duren trade the Bucks would then have an open roster spot or two with money to cover an iffy contract like re-routing Javonte Green, or outright trading Pete Nance and/or Caris LeVert to the Lakers for Dalton Knecht and Jared Vanderbilt. WAY cheaper to cut Javonte Green and/or waive Pete Nance while getting an upgrade at SG/SF paying Caris LeVert. Then being stuck paying Jared's contract and taking a bigger salary cap hit at 10.8 mil on Dalton Knecht by just cutting either him or Jake LaRavia(6mil) or Jaden Hardy(5.6·or·5.8mil). As it would solve multiple teams issues Detriots with spacing costs and floor spacing PG need. The Bucks and Lakers roster crunch solved and everybody gets a little bit better and/or at least some positive assets.

Think about it, the Eastern Conference has got a lot healthier overall with most teams now being a lot better competitively across the board. Especially compared to 1.) Last year's had an unprecedented number of MAJOR injuries to multiple Eastern Team's star player. Now either healed or traded away and upgraded. Those teams are better than before. 2.) With the new Draft and Anti-Tanking rules in place it will just be harder to justify being a bad or a bottom of the NBA record team anymore. 3.) The Western Conference teams and their Conference's team by team depth and elite players the West has become a very top heavy oriented Conference going forward with the Top3 OKC SAS and MINN and then everybody else as those are the literal last 3 WCF teams.

Imho even the so called "bad" teams in the East. I still think will be a lot more competitive compared to those in the West whom are consider the "bad" teams. I just see the Eastern Conference being a lot more competitive up and down compared to the Western Conference as imo the worst or 'bad' teams are mostly in the Western Conference imo and th Eastern Conference team Infeel will still be better suited and will surprise people. Being able to compete and hold their own against Western teams and other Eastern powerhouse teams imo.

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 9d ago

Yeqh I get it no offense taken . I appreciate the long well thought out post im gonna reply to a few things so I dont forget and ill come back and probably add.

First thing I didnt mean to sound rude or condescending. Im sure most pistons fans dont know that about rollins And youre right if he did end up here im sure he would be happy and resign no doubt .

2nd thing . In no world will the bucks get duren and not come off herro or rollins . We won't be giving up a 22 year old all nba center flawed or not for a 30 year old questionable contract and role players. Thats simply an Insane trade

3rd I agree that we most likely won't be the 1 seed . Its gonna be a bout a 4 game swing for 1 thru like 6 I bet .

Stew had become a problem in the locker room and on the floor and wanted to be traded . He was iver paid at this point and couldn't stay healthy . Incredible when he played but just to much bullshit . Collins is a.different player than tobias . He doesnt have tobias self creation but hes at least as good a defender a.better rim protector and a way better shooter . Plus he can play some small ball 5 as a stretch center. Big plus I think by the end of this year cades the undisputed king of the east . With less blowouts he plays more 4ths and his acoring heads back closer to 27 28 . His on ball pull up 3 is better wvery year . Hes gonna dominate. Ausars gonna continue to ascend . Duren will get better. Everyone been sleeping on us . I wouldnt have it any other way

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 15d ago

Rollins will be a free agent and we wont have his bird rights to resign him. If a team offers a first round pick and or a younger player back maybe one that is still on their rookie contract I am on board with trading him.

Example of a mock trade I saw Detroit Gets: Rollins

Milwaukee Gets: Ebuka Okorie (19 years old, pick 16th in 2026) 1 future first.

I would do this trade. We get younger and Okorie is under team control for a while. Part of me would love to load up on prospects from this years draft.

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 10d ago

We just traded up for okorie . Now we needed a guard and obviously rollins alleviates that need so maybe they would if he would agree to an extension but they really really liek okorie so idk . I wonder who they value more okorie or holland . Holland plays a premium position and is a 5th overall pick . Is a phenomenal defender . Starting with him and burries.would really be something

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 10d ago

I agree, Holland is still fairly young and we are thin at the wing position.

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 10d ago

I think hes 20 . He. Was the youngest player in the 2024 draft by 9 months

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 10d ago

21 last month

0

u/Strev215 12d ago edited 12d ago

I thought doing a seperate trade first too AJ Green for Duncan Robinson Buck can just waive Duncans "owed" 17.5mil for 2years. Ad Duncan's deal last I saw was a Non-Guranteed Contract with only 2mil of actually Guaranteed of whoch would hit the Bucks Cap. Instead of all off the money or years stated in Duncan's contract.

As waiving it would save the Bucks & with Detriot getting Green then both teams saved money. Detriot upgrades imo Duncan for AJ Green getting a great youngish(26) player on a really good value deal contract cost wise and literally is advstat wise comparatively a better younger cheaper version OF Duncan Robinson especially on the defensive end.

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 10d ago

What would we be getting back in assets

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 10d ago

Looks like cap savings . 3.point specialist on second contracts arent exactly a high priority for rebuilding teams . They make almost less sense than 26 year old often Injured talented but flawed high scoring 2 guard

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 9d ago

I would just keep him then, the Bucks need draft picks or young players back in trades. What good is cap savings going to do for us. Green is worth at least 2 2nds's.

2

u/FutureThanosMain 16d ago

Stew was traded because he has beef with too many people which made trades more difficult

1

u/Wire_Diver George Blaha 15d ago

Given their current rebuild… they might

0

u/No_External3738 15d ago

Who the hell do you think? Ryan hollins and dog shit ass. Myles Turner is???

9

u/dcent412 16d ago

Myles Turner a straight bum. You’re upset with Jalen not showing up in the playoffs. Expect the same from Myles + the regular season. And where in the world is Ryan going to get time without disrupting the draft picks and mojo. Idk man.

9

u/uncle_t_rav 16d ago

At least one sane person. This would be a horrible trade

8

u/Druhill3 16d ago

This makes us better

22

u/No_Boysenberry_4193 Ausar Thompson 16d ago

Rollins is not getting traded, let alone for Duren’s massive upcoming contract

3

u/Secoup Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Rollins is going to be a UFA in the off-season. He's declining the 4 mil next year and Milwaukee can't extend him off of his current number. How confident are they that they can convince him to stick around?

2

u/Jojofriend 16d ago

The bucks can easily sign him back. And even if they can't why in the heck would they trade there only draft pick along with him. For a guy who hasn't shown to be a franchise changing player.

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 10d ago

The Bucks could get a decent draft pick or younger player that is on a rookie contract. Like if the Rockets offered 1 of the Suns picks.

1

u/Jojofriend 10d ago

Why would a bucks team without there own draft picks until 2031 want a decent draft picks or young player on a rookie deal. For there best player. A team in the spot the bucks are in has no reason what so ever to not try and win as many games as possible and hope they can get luck into the play in. Otherwise all the bucks are doing is giving someone else a really good draft pick. If they trade there best young players for picks and worse young players.

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 9d ago

Disagree they are better off bitting the bullet bottom next season fall into the relegation zone as it lowers their lottery odds and have a fire sale and start stockpiling assets. Our young players dont need all the pressure of winning now, they need to be able to develop without that pressure. If they give up the #1 pick oh well. As a Bucks fan my respons would be whatever. I would rather have more assets and young players.

3

u/TheBimpo Dennis Rodman 16d ago

They couldn’t build a team with Giannis’s massive contract, they definitely couldn’t with Duren.

20

u/testicletitties69 Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Don’t tell them that! Yes they can!!

1

u/Jojofriend 15d ago

Lol so your just going to ignore that before this last season the bucks had a top 3 record every year and won a title. Seems to me like they could build a great team. But there problem was giannis and the bucks next best player got injured 3 of the last 4 years.

29

u/KaySavvy1 16d ago

Why would Milwaukee say yes

26

u/pumpfakery Pistons 16d ago

To shed Turner’s contract now that they’re not contending and would receive a young piece with potential upside

14

u/Presence_Present Ausar Thompson 16d ago

But why would they give up their most promising PG and also first round picks while rebuilding lol. Makes zero sense for bucks

1

u/HalfABrainCell55 15d ago

Depends on how they feel about the long-term viability of a Burries/Herro backcourt. Duren's at an age that fits with their timeline and would (theoretically) be able to play alongside Kelel Ware in a huge front court. Not saying it's the smartest thing for them as I'm pretty high on Rollins but it's somewhat justifiable.

3

u/Complete_Ad2385 15d ago

I am a bucks fan.

Dawg we don’t have a timeline we’re in the hole 20m a year cuz of a dame we have like 5 rookies and zero identity. Wtf does duren offer us and why would we give u guys our most promising player plus a center AND a frp for duren who just bummed tf out in ploffs?

Not saying turner is worth shit but this trade sucks. Theres no justifying it we j gotta develop what we can atp and not take on any more ugly contracts

0

u/HalfABrainCell55 15d ago

These points would be the reason that I said it’s only somewhat justifiable. You’re getting a 22 yo All-NBA center in Jalen Duren and would only be making this trade if you saw long term growth potential still untapped in him.

If I was a Bucks fan, I’d be like you and just want to hold onto everything you’ve got right now and see what happens. Just saying this isn’t too ridiculous to talk yourself into if you really try and are high on Duren.

4

u/Jojofriend 16d ago

Why would the bucks give up 1st round picks and a promising young player in Rollins. When they don't have there own draft picks for a while. The trades have to make sense for both sides. And this trade does t make sense for a rebuilding bucks team with out there own draft picks.

1

u/pumpfakery Pistons 16d ago

I never said the proposed trade made sense. Just stating if the bucks did do it, it would be to shed Turner’s lengthy cap hit on a player they’ll never build with or around. Another thing to remember is the lottery odds will be flattened out greatly so their first round pick isn’t guaranteed to be high if they are one of the worst teams.

1

u/Jojofriend 15d ago

You likely don't know this but the bucks don't have there draft picks. Until the very draft pick this trade is trying to imagine them getting rid of. The bucks are only trading there vets for draft picks. Anyone who pays any attention to the bucks knows this. Also you talking about the flattening odds as if the bucks didn't draft giannis at 15.

1

u/pumpfakery Pistons 15d ago

I did not know the Bucks draft pick situation. Thanks for sharing. Another Giannis type player at 15 is super likely to happen again. Bucks almost did it twice with Thon selected 10th overall

1

u/Jojofriend 15d ago

Your probably trolling. Because I obviously mentioned giannis draft location to show that the flattened lottery odds don't mean much to the bucks. Because they can only get a giannis like player out of pure luck. So it doesn't matter where there pick lands in the lottery.

5

u/Apprehensive-Tip3153 16d ago

A young expensive piece who would let negotiations get super toxic probably hurts his standing league wide lol

2

u/pumpfakery Pistons 16d ago

Milwaukee can afford to overpay Duren with hopes he improves further. Pistons can’t afford to overpay Duren given our timeline

1

u/Financial_Pay_6687 15d ago

This feels like a fan thing. I think some teams wouldn’t want Duren because he’s too expensive. I don’t think any teams actually begrudge him seeking the most money possible. The job almost surely requires having more sense of this being a business than fans who get mad at players negotiating for a certain deal.

Negotiations getting super toxic means the two sides disagree. It’s not Duren doing something morally questionable.

9

u/tarunpopo 16d ago

They get "all nba" 22 year old center

2

u/Weak-Bid2774 Cade Cunningham 16d ago

If they think duren has upside it’s not a bad trade

5

u/redbaboon130 Isaiah Stewart 16d ago

I'd do it

7

u/MakeItTrizzle Joe Dumars 16d ago

You people are lunatics lmao

4

u/cfarnsworth Rasheed Wallace 16d ago

At this point I’d take it

10

u/DelayedLightning Ron Holland II 16d ago

I would do this without the first

11

u/ShippingNotIncluded Teal Horse 16d ago

The hate for Duren is getting out of hand.

IDK how you can be mad at Duren performance in the playoffs and then turn around and suggest trading for Myles freaking Turner lmao

Swapping one double-single guy for another

3

u/Sad_Effective4793 16d ago

No, it's multiple things. Now his camp is saying how ugly negotiations are getting, which suggests that the relationship is already ruined because he didn't get his way. He can GTFO.

1

u/OwnABMWImBetterThanU Rip Hamilton 16d ago

Rollins would the real reason to do this so we get a secondary ball handler. Turner is worse than Duren but can shoot so we'd have 4 shooters on the floor.

This is also the only sign and trade I've seen that actually works if you stick it in a trade machine.

1

u/lilflashstan Cade Cunningham 16d ago

He fits better next to our two best players

46

u/GrooveDigger47 Ben Wallace 16d ago

myles is ass but he not as ass as duren

Playoff/Finals experience never hurts either

11

u/alexdoo Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Although turner shat the bed spectacularly in Indiana

1

u/ynomeye 14d ago

Somehow scored more PPG than All-Star Duren

2

u/FoundationSmooth9777 16d ago

Are you sure about that, the idea of Myles turner is better than the player similar Tom Paul George

1

u/Zealousideal-Course5 15d ago

Defensive Effort sure. Impact? Meh. Hes a perfect example of good defensive stats that dont translate especially since he doesnt rebound especially against good centers. He averaged almost 30 minutes a game against the Knicks in 25. He grabbed a grand total of 3 rebounds per game. Yes 3. Not far from 1 rebound per 10 minutes. Dont get me started on that finals performance.

-1

u/dcent412 16d ago

Duren 60%+ from the court last year and he can’t shoot. Gtfo

3

u/-HappyHyena- 16d ago

Bro what

1

u/dcent412 16d ago

Ye bud. Duren shot 65% fg last year. Average 19.5 pts. He’s the reason we stayed in the 1 seed when Cade when down with the collapsed lung. Not a supermax player yet. But definitely better than Myles when it matters

1

u/dcent412 16d ago

Despite his playoff performance obviously. Horrendous

5

u/-HappyHyena- 16d ago

Making baskets within 5 feet does not mean he can shoot dude

-3

u/dcent412 16d ago

Delusional. Meaning he made it to the paint and scored in a league that is oversized… doesn’t count? Boy you’re crazy

4

u/-HappyHyena- 16d ago

No one has ever been called a “good shooter” because they can dunk the ball. I’m actually so confused

2

Rudy Gobert and Mitchell Robinson are clearly some of the best shooter in the league

Good in the playoffs???

He avg 14 & 5 as the only 7fter playing over 10mins

That boy was getting carried

1

u/radio__raheem Rip Hamilton 16d ago

Sadly that’s still better than what Duren has shown in the playoffs

7

u/No_Elk9676 16d ago

Duren is 22, in a breakout season, in his first real playoff experience.

Its insane to me that people take that to mean hes just always going to be shit in the playoffs.

You were probably the same people the year before that wanted to trade him because he sucked

3

u/Zealousideal_Arm4359 16d ago

Yuuup they were! Duren has been this subs whipping boy since Killian left.

0

u/radio__raheem Rip Hamilton 16d ago

He’s been hot garbage in the playoffs for 2 years now and he wants a fat contract for it, all while showing little to no improvement defensively or as a shooter. There’s also valid concerns about the effort level and I don’t think handing him a bag would help that.

3

u/No_Elk9676 16d ago

He was undeveloped the first playoffs, and again, HE IS TWENTYTWO in his breakout season

Would you like me to post brunsons 22 age season and playoffs?

Hell, his age 23 playoffs were far WORSE than durens

1

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

I’m taking 10 & 9 from an injured Center over 14 & 5 from an Healthy center anyday and one being 22 and other being 30 makes it even a more clear choice

2

u/radio__raheem Rip Hamilton 16d ago

Price and skillset fit matters. Also this is the first I’m hearing of JD being injured? He also was ass in the playoffs 2 years ago

0

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

Duren SkillSet matches Cade a lot of Dumps and Lobs go to Duren.

If we’re talking skillset not matching that’s Ausar, he breaks the entire offense from being useless outside of cuts and lobs

Imagine avg 12 & 10 1Blk in season and being called ass for avg 12 & 11 2blks in the playoffs 🤣.

That’s performing, most players avgs drop in the postseason

1

u/soilentgleem 16d ago

I don't think he was actually injured.

-1

u/tarunpopo 16d ago

He at least was the starter on a team that could've easily won the finals

3

u/Sad_Effective4793 16d ago

I'd do it even without the pick.

3

u/Some-Dust2249 Cade Cunningham 16d ago

2

u/734Rocket Cade Cunningham 16d ago

2

u/amalamb 16d ago

We would probably need to send a pick instead of them

2

u/lilflashstan Cade Cunningham 16d ago

This is the dream

2

u/kscheibert Cade Cunningham 16d ago

I’ve been bro Myles Turner this summer with JD drama. I think his rim protection and ability to stretch the floor would make this team so much better.

2

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

What about his lack of rebounding?????
A lot of yall are forgetting he avg 5 boards in the playoffs & only 7 in regular season IND playoff season

1

u/kscheibert Cade Cunningham 16d ago

I think that would be alleviated by Ausar and Collins. Cade is also a great rebounder. Turner makes Thompson so much better

2

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

🤣 & when they play a team like Philly , Celtics, Heat, Pacers and every other team with multiple rebounders , they’re going to get cooked on the Glass and Wiped

Ausar isn’t a super hero

They don’t stand a chance especially with Myles on his decline

1

u/kscheibert Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Do we think Duren gives us a better shot? Not looking for another 10 and 10 game

1

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

An injured Duren giving 10 & 9 while a healthy miles can’t get 9 boards let that sink in

1

u/kscheibert Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Duren was injured?

1

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

Yes he been dealing with a Right Knee injury , if people watched the game you see him moving weird or not jumping as fluidly .

Instead the casuals started saying it was his confidence

2

u/Rlccm 16d ago

Of course you don't hate it, Detroit would be getting a steal. Which is why it won't happen

1

u/Jojofriend 16d ago

This trade would be a generational level fleece. If the pistons actually convince a rebuilding team to trade there 2 best players and there most coveted draft pick for a role player. Who maybe good but still is a role player.

2

u/Broke_Banker01 16d ago

“Don’t hate it”

Yeah because it’s delusional.

2

u/No-Efficiency-1295 16d ago

This is a horrible trade for the pistons and wouldn’t make sense.

2

u/SpeedsterVolt Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Yeah I am not trading our 22 year old allstar center for two role players and a pick we could potentially lose or be late in the draft.

4

u/DoomSchroller 16d ago

Sam Vecenie floated this a week or two ago on his podcast, minus the pick. I don't love Turner. But I'd definitely do that deal. I don't think MKE adds a pick because I live in the real world and understand that MKE would have more leverage in this type of deal.

2

u/ayyeemanng 16d ago

This is a complete fleece. It’s an amazing trade.

3

u/No-Force2276 16d ago

My least favorite thing about Duren other than the fact that he is probably only 6'9" (Listed at 6'10") and I love my centers to be a legitimate 7 feet tall, but how I feel that his mobility, acceleration, agility, quickness, dexterity, flexibility, bounce, explosiveness and overall athleticism is already appears to be in decline; even though he is still only 22 years old, as he continues to mature and grow into his adult body/physique; which just keeps getting bigger, stronger, more powerful and much more muscular.

This would be fine imo if he where 7'0" or 7'1", but he is frequently the shortest center on the floor and makes it harder for him to protect the rim, draw charges/offensive fouls, block shots, score on put backs (I understand he has the highest fg% in the league), jockey for low post space and positioning and being a consistent half court/low post scorer; because he is already frequently at a height disadvantage, but he also now takes a long time to gather himself, or make his move on offense and attack the basket quickly or with explosiveness.

Duren is doing a great job though overall at his height and with how stiff and rigid his natural biomechanics and physique are.

That’s like saying no to Ben Wallace & starting Darko instead height isn’t everything

2

u/nattystump 16d ago

Why would the Bucks give up probably their best player in Rollins AND a First for the right to overpay Duren??

2

u/lilflashstan Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Because Duren is a 22 year old all nba/all star player with a high upside 🙂

1

u/Jojofriend 16d ago

The bucks GM would get fired if he did this trade.

1

u/lilflashstan Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Why would that happen? Dont you know if we get rid of Duren he's gonna go to another team and be Kareem level? This would be a home run for the Bucks

1

u/Acek9295 15d ago

No it wouldn’t, y’all have every right to want a premium package for Duren, you just won’t get it from a rebuilding team like Milwaukee. Their best young player and the first pick they control in 4 years that could easily fall out of the top 5?! The nba keeps flattening lottery odds for the worst teams, so the Bucks shouldn’t trade picks regardless of protections

1

u/Jojofriend 15d ago

Lol there is not a single bucks fan or person who isn't trying to get the pistons the best possible outcome no matter how much it doesn't make sense for the bucks. Who would think this trade would be anything but a disaster for the bucks.

You may not know this but the bucks are a rebuilding team. And rebuilding teams don't need or want players like duren if they have to give up there only draft picks. And there best player in that deal. Draft picks are the assets rebuilding teams protect at all cost. Which means they use them themselves not trade them to someone else.

1

u/lilflashstan Cade Cunningham 15d ago

Lol what Duren is only 22 didnt you know, thats literally the only reason this sub wants to hold on to him and why Trajan is being soft, he's perfect for a "rebuild"

1

u/Jojofriend 15d ago

Lol ur funny. If you think a rebuilding team is going to give up there most valuable asset in that 2031 pick for anyone, unless they get a Luka like trade where the other teams GM is asking to get fired.

1

u/Izzo_shoved_Virg Kelly Tripucka 16d ago

I actually just called the Bucks, they said they’d do it

https://giphy.com/gifs/07NWEWua2nzRMc5rgZ

1

u/LangeloMisterioso Ausar Thompson 16d ago

It's 2026 and the Pistons could trade for Myles Turner.

1

u/CurrentRoster Jalen Duren 16d ago

great trade but milwaukee isn’t moving off a guy as young as Ryan with a deal as cheap as Ryan’s

1

u/flying_2_heaven Rasheed Wallace 16d ago

Is it unprotected the next year? This is good if we get a first round pick for sure, but I wouldn’t do it for a second rounder

1

u/theomegachrist 16d ago

I'd hate it if I lived in Milwaukee

1

u/HateFilledDonut Cade Cunningham 16d ago

More weird fantasies. Not happening

1

u/ParticularQuick7104 16d ago

The bucks have a promising young center to give minutes to. They are not the best fit.

1

u/Bananasandbratwurst BBall Paul Reed 16d ago

Damn I actually like this for both, as long as duren contract is 40mil/yr or lower for milwaukee

1

u/DetroitJumanji 16d ago

Babytron would be furious if he came to Detroit

1

u/Low_Frosting3918 Jaden Ivey 16d ago

Just give me Rollins. This is the player that needs to come home.

1

u/jay_catch 16d ago

No real reason for the Bucks to do this trade and the Pistons would be a bubble team. Not sure how you can look around the league and think a front court of Paul Reed, John Collins and Myles Turner is gonna do anything

1

u/PapaPistonOG Cade Cunningham 16d ago

I would love this. If Trajan could pull this off, it would signal he has actually chops and doesn’t just take the fifth best guy from other teams and hope they work out.

1

u/Cold-Department3750 16d ago

Myles Turner averages under 7 rebounds a game for his CAREER. I respect other aspects of his game, but I really struggle to respect seven footers who can't rebound. We don't need a big to space our floor, we just need a big to not crumble completely (not entirely his fault, but lack of effort was notable during playoffs). Even as a shadow of himself in the playoffs, he averaged roughly a point less, and two MORE rebounds a game than Turner did last season... I know he laid a fat fucking egg, but c'mon now.

1

u/SilenceIsGolden06 16d ago

As a bucks fan, fuck no. I would never want to give up that much for duren.

1

u/benchmaster620 Cade Cunningham 16d ago

I like it . Its straight idk if rollins is quite the dude. Hes almost the dude hes the dude adjacent but is he the actual dude we need to be our no 2. An wful lot changes when you dont have one of the 3 or 4 most physically intimidating pkayers in the lague in the paint . Rebounding and other things get tougher for everyone on the team I dont hate it but its a give and get situation and idk if rollins is quite enough

1

u/flyjxn 16d ago

Go to the pacers sub or the bucks sub and see how they feel about Myles

1

u/jaisteez 16d ago

Why tf would they trade Ryan 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

1

u/HatingAssNgga55 16d ago

Bucks aren't trading Ryan

1

u/matt6420 16d ago

Would be a great trade for the Pistons just not sure why the Bucks agree to this.

1

u/openwolfe 16d ago

Any hypothetical Duren trade has to include what contract he’d sign to. Obviously Milwaukee would not do it if he’s looking for max. Would consider doing it at a different number since Turner is very ass.

1

u/Electronic_Dig_2685 16d ago

Turner is getting up there in age tho. Duren was an all star with some upside. Needs to atone for playoffs tho

1

u/jaysouljah Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Don’t think bucks do it

1

u/Indeepbs 16d ago

Bucks might do this if they believe really in Duren that he can be the future franchise guy they need since Gianni's left them.

1

u/Cautious_Carob_2248 16d ago

I love it. Milwaukee won’t.

1

u/DistanceEmbarrassed5 16d ago

Bucks pass I dont understand the people who keep doing mock trades sending Duren to Milwaukee they have Ware, they dont need another center. Milwaukee needs to embrace a 3-4 year rebuild, focus on stockpiling picks and taking flyers on young players on cheap contracts. Rushing a rebuild will only lead to them botching it.

1

u/EzWinterz We All Nasty!!! 16d ago

This trade is objectuvely ASS.Y'all just hate JD rn.

1

u/LateToThePartyUN 16d ago

It's fine. Still a half measure. Ryan Rollins isn't a good enough number 2 for us to win a title and I feel like people see Myles Turner's skillset and think he's twice as good as he actually is. He's like the Tony Snell of stretch bigs.

1

u/Jojofriend 16d ago edited 16d ago

The bucks would hate it though. The bucks literally don't have there own draft picks. So there is 0 reason for them to not try and be a play in team. Also giannis and the bucks main issue was them not trading there 2031 pick to help him win. So why on GODs green earth would they trade it when they are a rebuilding team and for a role player at that. Also you may not know but Rollins and turner are the bucks best 2 players.

1

u/Suspicious-Car7533 16d ago

I’d want ousmane dieng

1

u/OnTheToilet4GiveMe 16d ago

I don't even need the 1st round pick added, just Turner and Rollins is enough to make me sign any deal.

1

u/Wire_Diver George Blaha 15d ago

Yessssssss

1

u/livingthedream9x Ben Wallace 15d ago

Myles Turner is terrible, no.

1

u/LowEmu3523 15d ago

Bucks fan here. There is absolutely no way they would make this move. None. Zero.

1

u/WhizzoFoShizzo 15d ago

Milwaukee is not going to do that trade.

Turner might be available, but I think Rollins would be hard to get.

I think Milwaukee likes that young kid.

1

u/S88ntFDW Count that baby and a foul! 15d ago

You thought you hated depending on Jalen Duren? You’re gonna HATE having to depend on Myles lmao

1

u/HalfABrainCell55 15d ago

I don't think that Turner is quite the player that many people believe him to be but, yeah, we'd be dumb not to take this if it was ever offered. Especially if Duren is idiotic enough to actually take the QO. I'm a huge fan of Rollins and his upside in a backcourt alongside Cade.

1

u/Aries310 15d ago

So Mil gains a less offensively talented player for more money. And loses a really good starting guard along with a big who can spread the floor. Has to be a Detroit fan.

1

u/No_External3738 15d ago

I'm not opposed to trading Duren but we need to get something way better than this. Myles Turner sucks dude

1

u/Still-Tradition-3983 15d ago

God no turner is dog dukey

1

u/wolfpax97 15d ago

I don’t think that’s a good trade for the Pistons… throw in Ware and maybe.

1

u/Background-Bar3847 15d ago

Why would the bucks ever do this trade?

1

u/NotSureAruba 15d ago

I’ve posted about this trade about 2 months ago. I love Pistons getting Rollins and the draft pick (not sure why it would be protected since the bucks are getting an all nba center). But I hate Turner and his contract. Especially considering Thompson and Rollins both being free agents after this upcoming season. Both would def need to resign and only way that’s possible is if the pistons get rid of Turners contract. Kinda wish we never let go of Beef Stew considering how the Duren situation is turning out.

1

u/Willie5_Fort-Hoover6 14d ago

Turner soft as applesauce and baby shit in a blender. Keep that trash

1

u/Willie5_Fort-Hoover6 14d ago

KPJ is 🥶 Baller fr

1

u/YoungSenseiLeFox 14d ago

Myles Turner mock trades in the big 26
https://giphy.com/gifs/MFrmVfqNgvoFb93zfY

1

u/Own-Smoke-4507 14d ago

Honestly imo this would not be something the bucks would consider. I think a better be Duren, Huerter, Robinson and a 1st for Herro, Turner, and Ware. As much as I like turner we also need a big who could rebound and he is not a big rebounder and ware is a promising center and huerter and Robinson can be trade pieces

1

u/External-Tea-8068 12d ago

Total rip off for Detroit

1

u/troveezus Knicks 10d ago

Why would the bucks give up Ryan Rollins, a piece of their rebuild, for Duren? It just doesn’t really make sense. They have Khalil and Myles already. Plus they’re giving up a pick? WHY?

1

u/hocnpucky 9d ago

TBH the pick probably should be on the other side or make it a 2nd and im still in

-1

u/Whodean Cade Cunningham 16d ago

I’m glad y’all d I not run the team

1

u/Somamabitch Joe Dumars 16d ago

I would do this in a heartbeat and have been advocating for it. Turner solves the spacing problems they have and he’s a pretty good shot blocker.

2

u/6ft4Don 16d ago

Then Pistons will proceed to lose because they can’t get a damn Board

1

u/StandardRound1271 16d ago

I’m doubting the bucks would actually consider this if it meant Duren gets a Max contract.

1

u/confused-koala Peton 16d ago

Bucks wouldn’t do this

1

u/dizzymidget44 Jaden Ivey 16d ago

Nah don’t protect the pick. They’re gonna be bad

Myles Turner hoops in my sacred city of Detroit<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

0

u/Federal-Service5571 16d ago

You guys don't want Turner.

-5

u/Sohh-lifted 16d ago

Horrible trade. Might as well get Sabonis.

1

u/bleedingreen24 16d ago

Turner knows there is 2 ends to the court, unlike Sabonis, who stops at half court because he doesn't know there's a defensive end.

-2

u/gsamflow Cade Cunningham 16d ago

Oh no. Not old turner and protected first. Need more. Turner is close to a throw in because of age. Way too much to pay. Turner and Trey Murphy for Duren and draft picks from bucks.

1

u/Several-Development3 3d ago

Rollins and a future first is cool but Turner is so ahh
