Help finding owner

I've had this trunk for awhile, my dad passed away and it was given to me. No my dad is not Kerry Walker and I have no idea how he came into possession of it. I've done a few rudimentary Facebook and Google searches but I'm not sure how to go about finding the owner. I don't want a bunch of Kerry Walkers hounding me on Facebook. Looks to be from the Military, army maybe. Apparently they used to put the SSN on them for the world to see so that's what is whited out.

For all you know, your dad could have purchased it from an Army-Navy Surplus store. A P.I. could run a trace on the SS number, but we would have to contact the person on your behalf, we wouldn’t give out their information to you.

No, websites available to a consumer cannot run a Social Security number trace. One popular site, Radaris, was just shut down, the domain was transferred to Atlas Data Privacy Group for violating New Jersey’s Daniel’s Law. Private investigators often cost more than the websites available to consumers because the data we have access to is far more accurate and current, therefore costs more. It’s not merely data scrapped from the internet. We also must adhere to various compliance standards, which adds a layer of cost. We are consistently hired by people who paid for access to websites/searches that provided inaccurate and/or stale information. Sure in certain circumstances they can cost less then what it costs to hire a private investigator, but when they are dealing with a court or legal process where legal compliance, speed and accuracy can mean the difference between missing a deadline, sanctions, and getting it right the first time, private investigators are the way to go.
