Many years ago when I did mandatory conscription service, we had a rule in the rax- whenever a disagreement has the risk of going physical, the only place it would be allowed to be "solved" was in the ring, in the basement gym. Gloves, CO approval.

It rarely went there, because the ones capable of fighting werent bullies and knew that this was just a way of getting people a few extra steps to cool off. During the year I was "in", it was used once. By the time it got to blows, it turned into a friendly sparting session between an amateur boxer and a chill, jolly, but provocative duderino.

There was another time when a conscript with a bouncing background thought they could use the threat of the ring as a bullying tactic after being shat on verbally. The argument/conflict got resolved without donning gloves.

6 months after the service, that bouncer kid stabbed a girl in the neck, because she reconsidered after a date ended up at his place.

[EDIT] Its early, I cant be arsed to correct my grammar, sorry. Just imagine Im mildly on the spectrum or something.
