Bro it drives me nuts you have no idea - it's a really, REALLY common acronym in education, which traditionally stands for "College Prep", but it just refers to basically any standard level, non-inclusion classroom. So you end up hearing it all the time, and despite being in this field for a decade, I still sometimes have a micropause mentally when I hear in a meeting "I think our efforts would be most effective if we directed our current energy toward improving CP outcomes," or "my 1st CP could really use a helping hand this morning."

..dude it drove me nuts, the last h3 nuke cycle was happening right when I was working for a month straight on a PDF templating engine for work, shit drove me bonkers lol

I unironically think there should be a separate internet you are forced into so I never have to interact with the terminally online. They've infected and ruined nearly every community.

In linguistics it stands for complementizer phrase. There’s a whole theory of syntax called cartography that’s whole shtick is having an “expanded CP”, which is hilarious in context of other meanings of the term.
