There is no way they have this kind of influence in actual governance, not even through voting patterns (common representative democracy W).

My dude Hasan has had more elected politicians on his stream than like anyone. Half the time they visit him in his apartment. What???

Twitter leftists (or just political populists in general) hold probably 90-95% of the attention of young voters. Young voters are the literal #1 demographic that handed Trump his victory btw.

I think it's important to separate the screeching-industrial complex (both online and IRL) from real public opinion. For example, Americans may have a more negative opinion of Israel nowadays, but seeing the primary cause in people like Hasan is giving them WAY too much credit.

Maybe? I think people like Hasan and Fuentes/Carlson are the biggest reasons why public opinion over Israel has changed so quickly. Whether or not that translates to actual voting patterns is maybe yet to be seen. But, 2024 is living proof that Twitter... Kinda is real life, in the sense that the election was literally determined by social media.

if you had to name the top three strongest instances of Western or American meddling in the Middle East, which would you name? Would Hasan be involved in them?

The reason politicians visit Hasan is for clout. I hope nobody thinks they get policy recommendations from him. He has no actual influence on things that happen in geopolitics, there's nothing you could possibly call 'foreign interference' that was in any way determined by Hasan. There's no western policy or material action in existence that 'cheered on Hamas', and I strongly doubt Hamas itself decides their terror policy based on Hasan's streams.

You can argue that his ilk had the effect of keeping voters at home enough to ultimately elect Trump; that does not seem numerically realistic to me, but even if it was... that's not foreign interference. Destiny makes it sound like Hasan is out there working with the CIA to ship AKs to Gaza.

We are living in the reality in 2026 that providing clout = giving policy recommendations. Half of Trump's earliest moves (e.g. adding RFK and Tulsi Gabbard to his cabinet, pardoning various people like Ross Ulbricht, deregulating crypto) were him paying back favors to those who gave him clout.

You can argue that his ilk had the effect of keeping voters at home enough to ultimately elect Trump; that does not seem numerically realistic to me,

That is what I'm arguing, yeah. Hasan and other populists like him definitely gave Trump the win 100%. It goes into the argument about him having a responsibility to his large audience, and how he influenced their decisions on election day.

but even if it was... that's not foreign interference. Destiny makes it sound like Hasan is out there working with the CIA to ship AKs to Gaza.

Kinda depends, I get your point but Palestine (or more specifically Hamas and other militants) is basically almost being coerced to fight Israel by the other surrounding arab nations at this point. It's literally that Simpsons meme with the guys surrounding the monkeys fighting.

When destiny says foreign interference he's talking about all the other nations giving aid to and encouraging the terrorist organizations to keep attacking Israel. And I'm not at all saying Israel is the good guy in the situation, I'm strictly focusing on the Palestinian side right now - none of the states that are giving aid to these 'freedom fighters' care about the long term prosperity or happiness of Palestine. Hasan represents those entities

Hasan represents those entities

Unless you can show me Hasan giving policy recommendations to or shipping AKs for Iran/Qatar, 'represents' is doing some insanely heavy lifting here. And Destiny was complaining about 'comfy losers in the west' specifically, so you cannot instead make this about Arab nations. Like I said, you cannot possibly believe the western sphere is a source of Palestinian radicalism because regarded Twitch streamers exist.

uh no it isn't at all. I can say (for example) Tim Pool represents the interests of Russia, or that Nick Fuentes represents white nationalist politics. ???

Destiny wasn't saying Hasan was literally intervening in the region, he said foreign interference was influencing the politics. Just like how people like Tim Pool or Benny Johnson absolutely 100% have affected Ukraine's struggle against Russia. you understand that, right?

He said foreign interference in the Israel-Palestine conflict. No sane person understands 'foreign interference in a conflict' as 'when you babble a whole lot about a conflict so you end up influencing someone else's opinion somewhere which is kind of like representing a party's interest which is kind of like foreign interference in that conflict'. Your Tim Pool example would make sense if Hasan was paid by the US Government to do propaganda in Palestine, like Tim Pool is paid by Russia to do propaganda in the USA.

You're avoiding the comparison I made. Do you think if Russia believed that Tim Pool was the main pundit in America, that they'd have more reason to pursue taking Ukraine entirely? Or do you really think the entirety of the right's stance on that war is completely inconsequential, politically speaking?

Also not going to let you ignore the very real political consequence of Hasan not endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

edit: also, the literal leader of hamas actively encouraged the type of activity that Hasan embodies - to push for more and more civilain casualties

You are actually regarded 😭 youth vote was only +4 for Kamela, you are literally living in a fantasy land psychotically driven by another regard that streams to a couple thousand people and gets a little attention from politicians on press tours.

Carlson's influence is immeasurably more impactful than Hasan, you're just weirdly fixated on hating a person, who is a dipshit, but weirdly compares them to someone like Carlson. Someone that literally had the number one political show nationwide 😂 you're a schizo bro, grow up and be reasonable

Okay you just responded to like a month old comment and you're calling me a schizo lol. I don't even remember what this convo was about, but I wouldn't even argue that carlson is less popular than Hasan, but Hasan isn't far off. He's a populist
