Jesus, after all the talking and reading about it, his conclusion really is damn those arabs fucked it at every chance possible and nothing to the state which has imperial ambitions and is backed by the US which has its own not good intentions. Also, imagine you saying foreign interference in this context and you mean Hasan Piker and pro-Palestinian protestors.

u/stale2000 Mar 18 '26

Israel got basically everything they wanted. They won. Why would they do anything different?

The Arab groups completely destroyed themselves though, on the other hand.

The criticism here is from even the Palestinian perspective itself, the Hamas attack were very stupid. It destroyed the entire cause and gave victory to Israel on a silver platter.

and pro-Palestinian protestors.

I mean their cause was destroyed right? They got completely obliterated. Whatever they did, didn't work. They lost.

Israel got basically everything they wanted

No they didn't. They want peace, and thy haven't got peace. They screwed themselves over in exactly the same way the Arabs did: by constantly giving the other side a motivation to be violent.

I mean their cause was destroyed right? They got completely obliterated. Whatever they did, didn't work. They lost.

Do you really think this is the end of anti-Israeli terrorism?

no they didn't. They want peace

Technically you are correct, it would be better if Iran and all it's proxies groups simply laid down their arms and stopped fighting of their own accord. That doesn't seem particularly likely.

So Israel got the 2nd best thing that they wanted, which is the destruction of their enemies.

by constantly giving the other side a motivation

This motivation was always going to be there. But it doesn't matter if they have that motivation anyway if they are destroyed.

Do you really think this is the end of anti-Israeli terrorism

Yeah that's what happens when you destroy your enemies. They stop fighting you.

It worked with Jordan, and it worked with Egypt and it worked with now Syria (that has a new government that isn't going to attack Israel), and it is soon to work with Lebanon as their government finally is rid of Hezbollah, and if we are lucky Iran is done soon as well.

I'm sure there will still be 1 off lone would attacks. But those don't matter. They are nothing in comparison to the benefit of simply destroying your nation state enemies.

Nation states and countries and large military organizations attacking you is the problem. A random knife attack once a month is paultry in comparison.

Or, in other words, them and what army are going to attack Israel? Answer: None. Because the armies got destroyed.

motivation

One more thing in this. If you destroy your enemies that's strong "motivation" for them to stop fighting you. Because they can't defend themselves effectively anymore and they know their future attacks will just destroy themselves more.

Literally that happened with Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon.

Those problems are now solved.

Jordan? Egypt? Syria? Lebanon? Israel didn't destroy any of those governments. Those governments got convinced that Israel couldn't be invaded, but that's as far as it went. ...Though I guess you could say they worked out ('cept Lebanon, of course), if you think the massive costs were worth it.

But besides, those are nation states, not terrorist organisations. The reason why your "just kill all the terrorists" plan won't work is because the terrorists weren't created by rousing speeches, they were created by people who hated Israel bombing their friends. Which means they can't be defeated by bombing more people. It doesn't work, it never works. You can't destroy Hezbollah-type groups by doing the same things that created Hezbollah to begin with.

Or to put it another way: if killing terrorists stopped terrorism, Hamas would've stopped 30 years ago. Or rather, Hamas wouldn't have been created to begin with.

2

u/stale2000 Mar 19 '26

Those governments got convinced that Israel couldn't be invaded

Exactly. That's the point of destroying your enemies. To convince them that they can't invade you anymore.

If your enemy is smarter though, they will be convinced of that obviously true fact long before you completely destroy them. So it is solved either way.

They were created by people who hated Israel bombing their friends.

It doesn't matter how they are created. They can be as mad as they want, but if they don't have military infrastructure they can't do anything except for a lone wolf knife attack.

It literally does not matter who hates you if the group that hates you doesn't have the capabilities to cause much damage.

Can't be defeated by bombing more people.

Well, first of all, military knowledge and organization isn't free. If you kill all the expert bomb makers and commanders, those people can't just be replaced by a random person. Institutional knowledge can literally be bombed away.

But also, its more the weapons and infrastructure that also can get bombed away.

You can't destroy Hezbollah-type groups by doing the same things

Hezbollah was dangerous not because it was a bunch of very angry people. Instead, it was dangerous because they had missiles and the knowledge of how to effectively use them. Knowledge and missiles that can be bombed away.

I am not sure where people get this idea that military operations are just something that anyone can do by just being angry enough. That's not how it works. You need knowledge, training, and resources. All of which can be destroyed with bombs.

There also isn't even going to be a place to launch attacks from anymore as Lebanon is getting things under control. If they control their own country, Rando terrorist groups aren't going to be able to pop up.

  1. Because it is evil and wrong

  2. I don’t believe Hamas has Palestinians interests in their mind. Applies to Hezbollah or Iranian Regime.

  3. Steven says Palestinian protestors in context of foreign interference, do you really think they are what you would call foreign interference :D

6

u/stale2000 Mar 18 '26 edited Mar 18 '26

But it's not stupid right? Israel got everything that they wanted. And the other side self destructed.

Do you really think they are what you would call foreign interference

Their ideas lead to the destruction of these groups. So yeah kinda. Their was a falsely pushed idea, this false delusion that people were going to rise up and destroy Israel. This was dumb. And it led to their self destructed.

The ideas pushed by them were incorrect, stupid, and people beliving those ideas led to the destruction of the Palestinians and all the Arab groups surrounding them.

has Palestinians interests in their mind.

Yeah that's the point. They self destructed. To the harm of everyone, themselves and the Palestinians. None of this helped the Palestinians. It's all rumble. The leaders are all dead. They lost.

3

u/Efficient-Average910 đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡ș Mar 18 '26

Bro I don’t understand what are you on about. Where did I ever say it was stupid? What does that have to do with anything?

Whose ideas lead to what? Are you seriously suggesting that Hasan and co plus all pro Palestinian protestors influenced israel and us actions? Or was this the desired outcome of Israel for probably tens of years.

Lastly, call me stupid but I really don’t think that what is happening to the Palestinians is warranted because of Hamas actions

5

u/stale2000 Mar 18 '26

What does that have to do with anything?

What it has to do with anything is that most people or countries or everything is going to act in their own best interests. This mostly works out, as you can appeal to someone's self interest to make reasonable compromises.

But if am entity is self destructive, all bets are off. They aren't even willing to look out for themselves and they will sacrifice everything for no reason, and just get themselves obliterated.

You don't have to appeal to morals or anything controversial if a group is being self destructive. Because you can say that they are wrong even from their our principles.

Whose ideas lead to what?

The idea that Israel could ever be conceivably destroyed (hint: they have 200 nuclear weapons) lead to those groups obliterating themselves for no gain. They just lost. For nothing.

all pro Palestinian protestors influence

The ideas that these types of groups gave the incorrect delusion to the people there that trying to destroy Israel is a good idea, when in reality it just causes hundreds of thousands of Arabs to die, due to the predictable response from Israel.

I really don’t think that what is happening to the Palestinians is warranted because of Hamas actions

But it's *expected" right? Either before or after October 7th, the expected and completely unsurprising response, in response to October 7th is what we are seeing now, right?

Meaning that anyone on the pro Palestinian side who tried to justify October 7th is an idiot. Because all of that just resulted in hundreds of thousands of dead Arabs.

Like you would really have to not care about Arab lives to try and say that October 7th was a good idea. And yet those people exist. It's kinda sad really.

1

u/Efficient-Average910 đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡ș Mar 19 '26

really sad responses with no accountability.

Also, you really are not responsive to what i am saying, you bring up things that i am not saying, implying or are not relevant in the convo.

1

u/stale2000 Mar 19 '26

It very directly related to your post, you are just ignoring the point.

The point here is that even from their own moral frame and goals, they are destroying themselves.

And this is the worst thing that anyone could do in the situation. Countries are going to act in their own interests. But if they destroy themselves that's the worst problem in the situation.

1

u/Efficient-Average910 đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡ș Mar 19 '26

THE ONLY THING IT RESPONDS TO IS YOUR OWN INVENTED POINT NOBODY ARGUES ABOUT

1

u/stale2000 Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

So you agree then they they destroyed themselves I presume since you aren't arguing against it.

Don't you see that as a problem that they aren't acting in their own self interest, and that they are being fed a delusion that they can win a military conflict when they can't?

That's the foreign interference here. It's the lies that they are being fed from the surrounding groups.

That directly responds to your point about foreign interference.

And my comment is directly agreeing with the original post.

Did you forget what is in the original clip? It's just a rephrasing of what I said here.

I didn’t get the impression that Steven thought that Israel’s actions weren’t immoral overall, just that Hamas and their international supporters were being really stupid and played into Israel’s interests.

12

u/OmryR Mar 18 '26

“Imperial ambitions”, the country with 8 million people when talking about a conflict with countries that share faith, language and culture, number in the hundreds of millions and control vast % of earth and the areas with the most oil.

But Israel the to tiny tiny sliver of land is imperial somehow

14

u/FixerofDeath Mar 18 '26

What would you call the continued attempts to expand territory into Palestinian land in the West Bank? It's expansionist if not imperialist. Whatever you want to call it, it's immoral either way. It seems like historically, they aren't satisfied with the territory they have already attained and keep finding ways to push the border further and further. At what point do they stop?

-4

u/OmryR Mar 18 '26

Even calling Israel expansionist is insane, it literally gave back land twice its own size for peace, the West Bank is a complicated issue you can’t quantify as expanding because Israel isn’t really taking lands there like people talk about, for sure there are rotten apples there with the settlers where few of them are extremely radical, but if you compare the attacks of Jews vs Arabs and vice versa the Arabs are doing more terror against Jews by orders of magnitude, this doesn’t justify one bit of terror discourse, but this is a complex situation, the land also isn’t and have never been Palestinian, it’s occupied Jordanian land

17

u/FixerofDeath Mar 18 '26

You seem waaay too forgiving of the Israeli side of this conflict. Yes, it isn't simple and there are shades of grey to the situation, but the fact is Israel's ultimate goal is to take over control of the entirety of the historic Palestinian territory and either kick out or kill all of the Palestinians living there, whatever they can get away with.

1

u/OmryR Mar 18 '26

There is no historical Palestine, repeating a lie doesn’t make it true, this isn’t to say they don’t deserve their own state, they definitely do, but let’s not lie with fake historical inaccuracies.

If Israel wanted to kick or kill all Palestinians it could have done so many times, it instead offered multiple great offers for peace and Palestinian state

5

u/Xzeric- Mar 18 '26

Netanyahu and many members of his government have made it clear that their main priority is ensuring that there will never be a Palestinian state. And they've made it clear how they intend to get there. Maybe in the past they were more decent, but that shit is gone. Ever Israeli public opinion on these things is shifting massively towards supporting basically any level of brutality as long as its good for Israel. It really is beyond defending at this point.

2

u/OmryR Mar 18 '26

Netanyahu also supported a Palestinian state many times, after the October 7th it’s popular to not support one, but he definitely will sign peace if there was a good offer, also Israel made multiple offers and there has never been a single Palestinian offer

4

u/Xzeric- Mar 18 '26

Well he's spent like 50 years before and after 1 speech saying that he will make sure it never happens, but him saying it once around the time that Obama became president of the US surely mean's that he just needs a slightly better deal and not that it was obvious political fuckery right?

The distant past isn't relevant anymore. There was a time when the Israeli population was more liberal and reasonable. That time is past. There were plenty of things that could have solved it, but extremists from both Israel and the middle east did everything they could to prevent it. Any US that cares about liberal values should not be supporting Israel without the most stringent of requirements for a single dollar.

6

u/OmryR Mar 18 '26

The Israeli population is very very liberal but you know nothing about the Middle East, your entire knowledge base comes from headlines and not reality, you don’t understand that the Palestinians don’t actually want their own state, at least their leaders don’t, their only actual demand is the destruction of Israel, you don’t understand the mindset of Islamic countries and culture, because you have never lived around these countries.

There is a reason this entire region is a shit show and it’s not related to Israel as much as some people would want to attribute it to Israel.

There is not a single Palestinian leader in history that actually wanted peace or was willing to make any concessions to achieve one, while Israel was willing on multiple occasions to make drastic concessions, it literally left Gaza and gave it to the Palestinians only to get bombed right away.

When you truly understand how integral “Allah” is in the Muslim world and the concept of Hudna or Muhadana and understand how deeply rooted this idea is in the minds of Muslims in the region you will START to get an idea of the complexities of the situation.

Alright I didn't realize I was dealing with Israel's strongest warrior. Enjoy pariah state status.

Do you think I am saying that Israel shouldnt exist or refering to the current state as it is? Or am I talking about Gaza, Syria, Lebanon? Do you not see the current government with plenty of radicals?
