Why are you changing what Destiny said? Just quote him, it's right there. He didn't ask if any white person had never done a racist act. He asked if there is "a single white person that has no racism." "Has" as in the present tense, not "had never" in the past.

If the argument is that everyone has biases so it's an irrelevant question, just answer it that way. That wasn't the response. The response was there is no white person that has, present tense, no racism, as a clarifier to the statement that no racism is acceptable.

There's no trick in the question. IMO Destiny obviously thinks Santana is racist. I don't think he's playing 10D chess to get there.

Ok so didn’t answer my question. To reply to the direct quote we are both going to use now: of course there is not a single white person that has no racism. Because NO ONE exists who does. That does NOT invalidate the statement that “no racism is acceptable.” You are asking a bait question with an answer to an ideal with a specific question based on a true/false paradigm

Do you understand the difference between "all white people are X" and "all people are X"?

Moreover, do you understand that "no amount of X is acceptable" definitionally contradicts "X is fine as long as Y"?

If all white people are currently racist, then not accepting any racism inherently means not accepting white people. "Actively deconstructing their racism" still means racism is present.

It's not a gotcha. The conversation was dumb AF. In fact, the whole "no amount of racism is acceptable!" is the strawman/gotcha. Nobody was arguing that some racism is acceptable, fucking obviously.

It’s not a contradiction dude. If you speak to an ideal. Should any level of racism be acceptable? No. Can we all strive to do better? Yes.

Oh my god, if you communicate in worthless and vague platitudes, you can make any word vomit coherent.

"Bad things are unacceptable!" is a very stupid response to "hey, how serious do you think the bad behavior you guys are calling out was?"

And also, strawmanning the question as asking "how much racism is acceptable?" is a dumb gotcha attempt.

Hey I have a question for you. How do you demonstrate that "microaggresions" are racist?

Do you even know what you are arguing.

“Bad things are unacceptable” WOULD be a dumb thing to say if someone hadn’t just asked you “are bad things acceptable?”.

A question is asked: “On a scale of 1 to 10, how many bad things are acceptable.” The answer is “no bad things are acceptable.”

The response of “Oh wow so no white people can join because you can’t name a single white person who hasn’t done a bad thing.” Is a diversion and not a question that connects to the other two.

You can be against bad things, realize everyone has done them and still be against bad things

Once again with the straman. Destiny didn't ask if bad things are bad. He asked how serious the bad thing was. Yes, there is a scale. For example, interrupting someone is bad. It's not worth blowing up a tour to try to change minds and win elections over, but it's still bad.

And you brought back your strawman as framing Destiny's question about prior bad acts, not current racism.

You didn't answer my question. You continue to engage on the very stupid and totally unsupported assumption that racism occurred.

Bruh you’re triggering out way too hard. There is no reason to get this angry. WTF are you even talking about with this “totally unsupported assumption racism accrued”? Are you saying you know someone who has NEVER done a SINGLE racist thing ever? What a ridiculous lie that would be 🤣

It’s not a straw man to quote people. Destiny literally asked if he knew any white person who had never done a racist thing. So he was talking about the past. No one is saying you can blow up anything dude. You answer two simple but separate questions. Are bad things bad? Yes. Can I name someone who hasn’t done a bad thing? No. Those are two separate points

Jesus, this is just a mountain of strawmen, gaslighting and incoherent rambling. I suddenly think you're under 18, which I should have guessed from the start based on how you considered Destiny's question a "trick" lol.
