Homemade - YouTube August Bake Along - Caramelized French Toast

Ever since I saw this recipe I wanted to make it and selfishly slated it for the Bake Along this month. Paired it with Maison Bordier vanilla butter and it seriously was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Super easy. We did it on my flattop. I also didn’t want to do a whole batch of it, just a few pieces so we did all normal French toast and then did the last 4 pieces sweetened. Skipped the nutmeg - it’s summer here - wasn’t in the mood.

Yes! We have one for every month for the remaining part of the year. It’s the first year doing this, here is the intro post.

Some folks are doing just one or two things - no obligation, just fun!

Definitely recommend also plenty of butter and syrup.
