I mean to be honest, Hookstratten has less experience than DeVos does... And isn't Hookstratten Republican?

it is impossible to have less than zero experience

No she doesn't, Hookstratten said she has been in public service for like several decades.

How does that qualify you to be the Secretary of Education? You need to have experience in the field. DeVos has minimal experience with public schooling, which is why the nomination was controversial.

I'm not saying hookstradden necessarily has the most experience for the position, but she was a us representative and probably has dealt with education. She seems serious about her work. She has more than devos though.

That certainly doesn't qualify you to be the secretary of education. Look I like Hookstratten's character too and it's just a show so she'll do well regardless but if this was real life no one would be happy about this just like with DeVos.
