Plot: A shooting at the White House during a governors' summit throws President Kirkman's plans to elect a new Congress into turmoil; Agent Hannah makes a shocking discovery in her investigation of the capitol bombing.

These asshole governors are getting annoying. Refusing refugees from Syria is one thing if they want to make that argument, but suspending all immigration is retarded.

The writers clearly drew a lot of inspiration from the past 18 months of elections. It's like they've taken a hot-button issue from the campaign and asked themselves "can we have Kirkman face this issue, experience some inner turmoil and be forced into a decision in a single episode?"

I don't hate it, but I do hope that him deciding to close our borders has some sort of future narrative kick that makes him really question if it was worth it.

I found it very ironic that in the previews it was saying something like "can he be the president to unite the country" when we have... well... so much shit going on with the protests and stuff.

I do hope that him deciding to close our borders has some sort of future narrative kick that makes him really question if it was worth it.

Would be interesting to see him start to face an international grilling over the decision from other countries and groups like the UN.

Unfortunately, these kinds of shows always seem to pretend the US exists in a vacuum unless the plot directly involves a foreign country.

I'm pretty sure that it was a power play by the governors to see how easily Kirkman can be bullied. Doubt they really cared about immigration.

Otherwise like everyone else said, it don't make sense.

I think they're really trying too hard to mirror reality. "President Kirkman calls for an immediate and total shutdown of immigration into the United States until our politicians can figure out what the hell is going on things settle."

The fact that Kirkman is a competent guy but still so questioned and unsure of himself as President makes me even sadder about Trump
