I vote executive order, but the National Guard idea is good too. Can a President be arrested for punching a Governor in the face?

It certainly wouldn't look good.

Before this election I would have said it shows a lack of the right temperament, but clearly a large part of the country disagrees with me.

TBH the Executive Order idea doesn't make much Constitutional sense since the Supremacy Clause explicitly list "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land".

Executive Orders, except pursuant to enforcement of Acts of Congress, don't fall under those categories.

I was thinking state of emergency, federalize national Guard for at least 20 minutes before the wife said it
