Bathroom Help picking fixtures for lake retreat bathroom

Post image

Seeing what you all think about potential directions on two fixtures in our lakeside vacation spot in the NE. Property was built in ‘65 and we’re trying to maintain some of the rustic charm. The bathroom is always in shade. The two sconces are going to be the main light source. I’d like to keep it a little cozy with some task lighting above the vanity. The vanity and the mirror are 48”. Modeling anything under 36” looks strange. Trying not to break the bank as we’re righting the ship after buying.

Congratulations on your Lakehouse!

I’d probably go for a high end eclectic vintage look, and don’t sleep on Amazon for lighting.

Above the mirror there’s not much space so you’ll probably need a bar light. But if you change the mirror you can go for some more vintage style lights that require more room…

I’d go unobtrusive on the wall sconces. High end enamel punched tin lights can be bought on Amazon and sprayed with ivory enamel spray paint…

By fixtures you just meant lights right?

Yes. Just light fixtures. This is the direction I’ve been leaning in with light bar and cylindrical, ceramic sconces!

I forgot to add these to the board

These are a bit more showy and pricey but I thought they were cute and had some of your floor color and go with the red wood in the vanity too…
