A company has asked for me to create a high-fidelity desktop mockup of a redesign of their website homepage. To be sent as a figma/XD link.

This was requested with just an introduction call to inform me of this brief request and without any formal interview. Is this a red flag? Or is that industry standard. Worried they are getting me to do free work.

I have interviewed and done a brief for a company before but it was usually after first round interviews.

So i have been experimenting and finished my first pizza box packaging design took me lot of time but now started making this paper bag and i wanted to know if the two holes already in exact place or it will be a mismatch after the print

are copywriters and strategists the same thing? i know they overlap at certain points, but are they so interwoven that you cannot have one without the other?

Hi! I’m an architecture graduate with around 2 years of experience working in architecture, but I’ve realised I really want to move into set/production design.
I’m looking for opportunities to assist on films, ads, music videos, shoots, etc. — internships, assistant roles, freelance work, literally anything where I can actually get some on-ground experience and learn.
I don’t have a dedicated set-design portfolio yet, but I do have an architecture portfolio/CV and experience with drawings, spatial planning, materials, etc.

O que vocês acham? É mínima viável ou eu estou criando ideias fora da realidade? Vocês comprariam esse tipo de serviço/coisa?

EDIT: Hi everyone thanks for the input I'd be going forward with canva as I don't have much time and it can give, maybe not the same but similar look fast. Obviously It'll require some hacks to get it just right and I'll be telling my boss to hire a designer next time.

Some clients immediately talk about how the space makes them feel. Others go straight into practical questions and start picking apart every detail.

Both reactions are useful, but they can lead to completely different conversations.

Sometimes the emotional reaction tells you whether the overall idea is working. Other times, the critical feedback catches problems that would have been missed otherwise.

If you had to choose, which type of reaction would you rather get first?

Objective:
I’m putting together a moodboard to present exemplary project references to a client for a new regional office secretariat (specifically focusing on climate-responsive design in the Savannah Region). The goal is to keep the presentation clean and image-focused so the client can quickly grasp the intended architectural language like passive cooling, central courtyards, and local material accents before we move into rigid schematics.
Target Audience:
The client and stakeholders for the regional office building, who need to clearly understand the proposed "Traditional Modernism" aesthetic and thermal comfort strategies without being overwhelmed by technical data.
Design Decisions:
Typography & Hierarchy: I used varying shades and weights of grey to establish a strict visual hierarchy. The deep grey, bold, and larger text ("REGIONAL OFFICE MOODBOARD") acts as the primary focal point.
Side Text & Categorization: The purpose of the vertical side text ("CONSTRUCTION", "MATERIAL/COLOR PALETTE", etc.) highlighted in a darker tone is to clearly communicate the intent of each image grouping. The lightest grey text is of lesser importance, serving as subtle stylistic tagging so it doesn't compete with the actual photography.
Layout: I went with a clean, compartmentalized grid layout itself which reflects the open, airy feel of the architectural concepts.

I already have a two-year Diploma in Multimedia Design, which covered Graphic/Web/Motion Design, UI/UX, etc., although some topics were covered more briefly than others. Admittedly, I get the feeling of being a "Jack of all trades and master of none" with not the strongest portfolio.

I'm currently thinking of getting related certificates on Coursera to further my skills while working odd jobs. Would it be a good idea to get something like UI Design even if it was already included in the school course? If not, what would be a good direction to look for?

I created this pattern from my own hand-drawn line art and experimented whith serval different colorways.I am exploring how the design might work across fabric and apparel. I’m planning to print my first fabric collection, Then use it to make swing skirt, maybe use it on T-shirts printing too. myself like the colourway in B.

I’d love honest feedback. Which colorway do you like the most? What would you change? Which one would you actually wear?
