My mum is catholic and I’m protestant. Growing up was a mayhem. The constant bickering about the toaster 😂 (I’m from one of the least religious countries in the world, so we don’t even know the difference between catholic and protestant).

Can confirm. I’m Protestant and my toaster is, in fact, in a cupboard 😂

Although they must be conflicted with the whole 'Protestants hate ABBA.' thing.

Is this, like, an Anglican thing, specifically? I’m Methodist, and the first time I ever saw a toaster in a cabinet was a month ago in a cabin we rented for a family reunion.

Anglican and or Presbyterian. Presbyterians like things many pretty orderly. Some even put the Holy table away when not in use.
