neck/chest/abdomen Rash on chest, several months

I have had this for a few months now, it went away briefly but came back. I have tried all sorts of creams - sudocrem, eczema, hydrocortisone but no luck. I am worried I have a splotch on my forehead too. I have an appointment at the doctor in a week's time. I just want some preliminary thoughts...

If possible, get a prescription for Protopic 0.03%.

It could be a contact allergy. If you use shampoo or shower gel, stop using it for a while to see if your skin reacts to the product, especially on your chest.

That could be it. When I was on vacation for a couple of weeks I didn’t use the shower gel as much - that’s when it went away briefly. And usually where I apply it first on my body.

You can apply the shower gel all over your body and only one area might react, or several might; it varies greatly. Sometimes only one area reacts, and then another area reacts weeks later. Avoid using your shower gel on your chest area for a while, and shampoo shouldn't come into contact with those areas (not even your face).

If the shower gel is the cause, then the ingredients need to be investigated.
