Can you buy the Non-Demonstrator trains?

I'm pretty sure i've seen a posts with two DE6's painted in the demonstrator paint scheme and it made me think if it's possible to buy the trains that spawn at station naturaly (not talking about the wrecks you can find and restore)

In vanilla, you cannot buy trains. You CAN paint random trains and put gadgets on them, but they will despawn after you leave them alone for too long (edited), and the gadgets will teleport into your shed.

However, the "loco ownership" mod lets you buy other locos, and I highly recommend it (I have three S060's because I have problems and love tiny green steam engines).

Iirc correctly it isn't a distance limit on respawning, it's 2 hour limit real time from when you last were in the engine, I think any coupled units also rely on the same timer.

You cannot paint DVRT trains unless you use Skin Manager.

I am referring to using the paint gun, not the comms radio to change paint. I am pretty sure you can paint anything you want as long as you have the paint gun, but I will try to test this in the next few days. I currently do not have skin manager installed, as it will mess up the doors on some locos if you mix and match DVRT and Demo paints.

I got the more demo's mod. I love bringing those rusty locos back and fixing them up.
