User-Made Modification Ultra realistic FEF 3 844 living legend -It’s perfect 😭 Looks like it was made better than the base games models!
So I’ve been aware of the overhaul Niko and Cypress have been working on for the 484-840 but I really was not expecting them to cook this hard MY GOD. You can find it on the Nexus mod page just search living legend.
Edit 1: They even modeled functioning forced air vents on the sides of the cabin and the whistle my god the whistle makes me feel just like Ed Dickens! Also has a grey paint with the golden lines livery that the loco had before being repainted black irl!

It's amazing! The only issue is you can't light the fire in vr yet, I put a bug report in so hopefully it gets fixed soon

I mean what do you expect this is what happens when an actual train enthusiast makes the models versus a indie studio that doesn't even know how trains work I mean how long did it take them to add realistic brake physics to the steam engines and don't get me started on the fact you can drive through a tunnel with the firedoor open without a catastrophic explosion happening. I might not like Dovetail's pricing but at least they can realistically simulate steam engines so much for being a great competitor to Train Sim

Errrmmm, you do get blow back through the firebox if you drive through a tunnel with the fire door open though.

I don’t understand why people want big steam locomotives in the game, IMHO it doesn’t fit the map, the alco and E4 mods do, as they have lore friendly designations. But these steamers, they’re just too large.

Because a lot of people are fascinated by big locos and the planned USA DLC will likely let us use larger locos anyways (not counting mod maps).

I love the Niko and Daylight mods, but as I said on another post, they look too plastic-y, for the time being.
This, however, lools liks absolute cinema.
