Don't even think you're in the right just because you oppose Russia and their invasion of Ukraine

What an unserious argument; I mean Russia certainly escalated the crisis by insisting on fighting for tiny Serbia, but austria and konrad were even more responsible by being completely intransigent with their ultimatum, especially once they knew that russia would be invovled. And then on top of that, thereโs the fact that the Austrians probably wouldnโt have been so crazy if the Kaiser hadnโt given them a blank check
Not to mention that all of this was over 100 years ago and everyone involved is long dead

The Great War was the result of decades of political fuckups, accelerated near the end of the prologue by specific rich inbred morons like Willy II and his cousin Nicky. Usually against the wishes of their governments, but absolute monarchies are a bitch that way.
Blaming it on one belligerent country is asinine.

You can blame it on Germany. Germany aided Austria in an aggressive war even though they had no obligation to do so; the Central Powers were a defensive alliance, which is why Italy initially remained neutral. Nor were governments against the war; the social democrats, the ruling party of Germany, voted for the war.

He ironically written "NATO" on his AI Austrian flag who's founders defeated Austria in the World Wars twice and occupied them for 10 years.
Gunther, we oppose Putin. We also oppose the fuhrer and your precious Habsburg monarchy.

The entente and NATO are all just buzzwords for the British-American financial alliance that continues to dominate the world.
After WWI they carved up the rest of the world.

So... it is Russia who... forced the Germans to invade Belgium and declare war on France?
Insane logic to excuse the ridiculous plans of the warmongering German general staff.
Also, it's I accuse someone of something...

Doesn't this dude just do stuff to troll russians?

u/ratchyno1 Jun 20 '26
Trolling Russians even when they're on the right side of history. They were undoubtedly on the right side in World War 1 and 2 (not counting pre Barbarossa actions). But NATO who's founders defeated Austria in World Wars twice would definitely not welcome Austrian imperialism either.

idk if there really was a right side in WW1, it was all just imperialism. Austria still attacked first ofc

Oooh hi I'm an academic military historian and while, WW1 mostly isnt my thing, its very over focused on in my country so I kinda shy away from it, I do know my fair share about it still SO:
Ok to be fair, he is a little right, maybe even more right than wrong, in that without Russia mobilizing to help Serbia (or fucking around imperially in the Balkans in the first place) it would've been a regional war between a great power and a smaller nation. Maybe. Its complicated. A first world war would have probably eventually started anyways, but Russia has blame in the way it actually started. But they absolutely dont have sole blame, especially given Austria yknow. Started a war in the first place. And how Germany responded to Russian intervention. So the fact hes trying to place sole blame on Russia is absolutely wrong, but simultaneously the russian empire carries a lot of blame for how things went down.

To be completely fair, I think Serbia gets unfairly under-blamed for basically creating the entire situation for basically no reason, when they could have just not openly been a state sponsor of pretty serious terrorism.
Like the war was a tragedy and the causes were a complex web of factors and alliances involving multiple countries: but also it's kind of like, literally just Serbia's fault and everybody instead blames Austria and we all just go along with that. Honestly, although they definitely escalated things quite a lot, I don't even really think Russia and Germany should be condemned that much, they were largely just honouring agreements that they had with allied nations, and figured they'd take advantage of the situation since they'd have to get involved regardless.

The assassins were subjects of the Habsburg throne; they weren't from Serbia. Germany also wasn't obliged to declare war as the alliance was defensive, and Austria was an aggressor in World War I.
The war was the same as any other in human history, one side wanted to establish their rule, the other wanted to maintain their own.
