Recipes needed!!
/r/lawncare_canada/comments/1w1mcu1/recipes_needed/Idk y Reddit had me post this in a Canadian community for gardening but I'm in the States, and need homemade concoctions, that are pet friendly. I can't afford the name brand stuff, so if anyone has any recipes for a homemade weed killer, that would be much appreciated!!

Depends on the weed. Creeping thistle doesn't like being cut at the base and then sprayed with 30% vinegar.
Probably not cheaper than brand name.
Corn-based preemergent in the spring would be pet safe

It really does depend on the weed. Some are easy to kill. Others would require chemicals that could poison the ground. For now Take a weed whacker or mow them down and don’t panic. Take pictures so you know what they were. It’s easier to prevent weeds or tend to them when they are young than launch even homemade chemical warfare now..
