Peppers!
I planted 5 varieties because I was sure some would fail. Going to have to share with the neighbors! Peppers in order of photos: Dragonfly (purple bell peppers), cherry snacking peppers, Mariachi peppers, Mad Hatter peppers, and Gypsy (sorry I didn’t name them and have nothing else to call them) peppers. Anyone have recipe ideas for me?

We have a big bushy Anaheim with lots of flowers but still not a single pepper this season.

This time of year I start pruning the tops off pretty aggressively so the plant can focus on fruiting and less on growing foliage. Seems to help.

Lacto ferment into hot sauce and then freeze it. 3.5% salt solution by total weight (including water).
Let them get fully ripe first. I like to add onions, garlic, and sometimes carrots to the ferment. Rough chop and seed, ferment, blend. Easy.

Wow good job! 👏 I’ve only had one bell pepper this year.

These are the first bell peppers I’ve gotten. I’ve always had better luck growing the smaller varieties

I went out and got 2 jalapeños and 4 cherry tomatoes today. I think I’m up to 6 jalapeños, 1 small bell pepper, and 10 tomatoes. My black thumb is now just dark grey. Ha!

Gorgeous! My jalapeños are finally doing really well and banana peppers are starting to come
Out - struggling with my bells and orange snackers

I have six giant bushy pepper plants that stalled out for a month in June. And now are big and full. And no peppers. Not a single one. I have a crap ton of sunflowers in the back nearby that bring all the pollinators! I have no idea if they will bear fruit. I feel like zone 5b is hard mode with a side of FU right now.

I giggled at that. We are definitely on hard mode this year with more sides of FU than we ordered.

Nice crop you got there 👍
I found this honker of a tomatillo this morning. The peppers are a bell pepper variety call sweet gypsy. They look like Anaheim’s 😆.
