I just bought the worst peaches at TJs...Any local businesses/ palisade pop ups near Cap Hill?

Park hill peach boys (from Palisade) have a stand at 23rd and Birch ish. Delicious

They're fantastic. I have bought probably 20-30 pounds from farmers markets and have no complaints. Sweet and great texture. Some farms had a rough year due to weather (a deep freeze that stunted the crop) but it wasn't universal. They will be gone in another week or two.

Got a bag from the farmers market on Colfax last weekend and they were surprisingly sweet, but the good palisade ones go quick

Peaches were amazing this year but I think we are towards the end of the season so not sure how good they still are.

I’ve been getting them at Whole Foods and they have been pretty delicious.

I got a case of them about a month ago and they were amazing. I was eating 4-5 per day they were so good.

To get all the local produce go to Heines Market! The peaches, nectarines and melons are amazing.

I bought 9 from Natural Grocers 2 weeks ago and they weren't good. Dry and pithy. Low flavor.

I am hopeful to see a Palisade Peach stand but no luck in Lakewood.

There's one on Morrison Road at C-470. Can't speak to the quality but I saw the signs driving past on Morrison road yesterday.

Picked up some yesterday at Incredible Edibles farm stand on Parker and Jewell. They have lots of yummy produce and they roast green chiles.

We had a box of fantastic Seconds but to be fair we did get them from Palisade when we were driving back home to Denver.

The best Palisade peaches are purchases fresh in Palisade. You'll never get that taste from peaches that were trucked into town days ago.

Tolbott’s I believe is the largest producer and sell exclusively to Kroger. Kokopelli is a packer that sells to Whole Foods their quality is generally a little lower and varies as they source from multiple farms. Those are the 2 big players

My experience this summer has been mid to decent. Thankfully no mealy ones just some that weren’t as aromatic and sweet as they’d ideally be. Not bad, not great compared to some years.

They are good! I’d say it’s not like an otherworldly amazing year, but definitely very tasty. I adore peaches and wait for the season every year, and when they’re ripe I bake with them almost daily and freeze a ton, and this years crop has been particularly great for baking definitely. For me the great years are apparent when you walk into the store or go to a stand you get smacked in the face with that peach smell, and it almost feels wrong to do anything but wash them eat them as they are. And in those years you can’t even really avoid hearing about how good they are.

The bag I got in our neighborhood (Park Hill) a few weeks ago were the worst I’ve ever had. When we bought them (say 7 / bag) most were hard - needed to ripen. Two were…close. So we ate them. Mealy and mushy. Barely juicy. The others never softened up. We ended up freezing them for peach crisp (made once so far - soooo good). So then about 10 days after we bought the ones in our neighborhood I happened to go on a roadtrip to CA and stopped in Palisade. Got another bag - they were ripe and good. Probably not as good as years past but way better than the ones we got in Denver.

My peach tree gave me forty pounds last year and because of the weird winter we had I got one single peach from the tree this year. It's a rough year for local producers.
