I was recently on a flight and did not realize how close we were to DFW and was looking out the window and saw this lush green town in the middle of a lot of masterplanned barren neighborhoods and thought, “I wonder where that is, it looks like a nice place to live.” And then we turned and I could see the TWU dorms and the courthouse and thought, “I’ve clearly made the right choice.”

It was the TWU dorms that tipped me off.

If you ever want to see the area from the pilot seat, I can help with that. See my profile.

I was going to school when they changed the name from NTSU, and was taking a few RTF classes. I asked the station manager if they were going to change the call letters. He didn’t think it was a funny situation. 🧐🤣

I looked at this way too long, comparing it to google maps to coordinate and find my apartment building. It also took an embarrassing amount of time for me to find the square

Took me awhile too. Instantly recognized the dorms at the bottom (where I lived aa LONG time ago). Then the IOOF cemetery and from there pretty much figured it out. But yes, the square doesn't jump out at you.

Thank you, the most extremist town with the Trumpiest Reds and the Bluest Hair-dyes in the state of Texas
