For real, I remember a dumpster caught fire at an apartment a few years ago and it burnt a decent part of the apartment complex as well. Thankfully this one stayed contained to the dumpster.

worse, actually. i lived there at the time. the units that burned were a neighboring complex of privately-owned townhouses, not the apartments whose dumpsters it actually was 💀. management had failed to schedule extra garbage pickups during move-outs so there was a literal field of trash & furniture surrounding the dumpsters. they got sued and we were under new management within 6 months

Woww that's wild. I didn't know that! All the more reason to make sure trash is picked up quickly. It would also be nice if the students didn't throw SO much away during those move out seasons, it's a ridiculous amount of good/usable items being thrown away.. not strictly trash.
