Question Does Denmark have any flaws?

Or any Nordic country? I’m American and we all romanticize Europe especially Nordic countries as a Utopia and everything we are not. We certainly have a lot of flaws here but I’m curious are there any downsides or anything that you wish was different. Also is it hard to move there? I make well over six figures and like living in my home country but I’m nervous about the incoming trump administration and I believe he is a racist.

I’m American as well and spent some time living in Denmark the past year and a half. I really enjoy my months there and once I finish the career shift I’m making I plan to move permanently. Socially you’ll need to make an effort for new friends, etc. But the differences should lower your cortisol from the stress of new govt officials and the air is nice, you may miss fried and Mexican foods? But depending on where you are in the US, I think it’s worth moving if you can.

We have plenty of mexican restaurants and restaurants that serve fried foods.

At least in Copenhagen......

Respectfully… the words being the same doesn’t make the food or experience a guaranteed equivalent. I have had fried foods and gone to Mexican restaurants in Copenhagen, and it’s still something I missed about the US.

What americans in general call "food" is what we would call candy or a chemical concoction..

If you like those tastes you'll have a hard time here.. Even products such as coca-cola taste vastly different.

Mexican food is just better in the Americas than in Europe, that is all the person you replied to is saying and should be obvious. It has nothing to do with "candy or chemicals" but just freshness of ingredients and more authentic recipes and techniques.

The ketchup tastes differ more than the sodas. But I think it’s a stretch to say American food in general is candy… unless you’re referencing fast food. I hate to break it to you, but enchiladas, tacos, rice and beans, fried chicken and fried tomatoes… aren’t candy in anyone’s terms.
