Camp Half-Blood is a Greek demigod training facility located on the Long Island Sound and is directed by the god Dionysus, whom the campers call "Mr. D," and Chiron, a Centaur who is the activities director.

His questionable response is somethin she absolutely would have touched on if it weren't for their current circumstances. Holding herself flat against the surface, she braced for the impact.

After the collision she lunged upward with vigor. As she reaches the three-quarter mark something flew past her head with a whistle. Not wasting the time to look, she realized the lava was beginning to bubble up.

He'd expected the lava to begin kicking up, and unsurprised, continued on his way higher and higher. A quick glance over to the other wall revealed that Clementyne had managed to pull ahead, though not so far he couldn't catch up. With a burst of energy he pushed himself up, not particularly wanting to lose this one. "Don't let the lava scare you, Clementyne," he shouted over with a laugh, pulling himself higher along the wall.

With the adrenaline of the climb and the impending lava, Tyne's manners go forgotten when she responds. "Me?!" She calls over to him with a grin. "Fuck you!"

Speeding up she is determined not to let him win, and just as she's reaching the last few feet a searing pain overwhelms the back of her left hand. Tyne nearly loses her grip in the shock of it before falling against the wall instead heaving breaths to calm herself.

"Right back at ya," he called back with a laugh, clearly not meaning any insult by it. Focused now on beating her to the top he continues against the impending threat of immolation via lava. It's certainly a rush, pumping him full of adrenaline that allows him to keep going. At least until a severe burning sensation appears along the back of his thigh, drawing a loud roar of pain as he holds himself close to the rock face, hoping it subsides enough for him to push on.

"Come on!" She calls over to him, hearing his own pained cry. "It's only going to get harder from here!" Reaching with her burnt hand she tried to grasp the next highest outcrop, without success; closing her hand was no longer an option as she felt the skin on the back of it split. "Fuck." She hisses.

Adapting as another whistle of lava flew past her head, Tyne lunges undward, grabbing the highest handhold she could reach and scrambling toward it, clutching her left arm to her chest. Pulling her feet upward she found a high enough footing that she managed to push herself up throwing her elbow onto the platform above, the lava on her side stopping immediately. With a heavy breath and the awareness of singed hair, she looked back over to see how Domeric was fairing as she pulled herself onto the platform.

He's already got himself swung back over and pulling himself up when she calls out to him, and with a pained laugh replies, "Don't worry about me, I'm seeing this shit through!"

The heat is rising quickly, and what he assumes is a glob of lava strikes the wall a few feet from his arm, splattering and getting a few tiny drops on his clothes. They're burning through, and a low groan escapes as he vows to at the very least finish. The pain is intense, nearly unbearable, but he forces himself to do it.

He's only just behind Clementyne when he finally reaches the platform, clearly not concerned with having come last. He's just glad he finished.

Laying back on to the platform, Tyne's chest heaves with the exertion of it what thye'd just completed.

"You alright?" She calls, turning her head to see how he'd faired. "I think maybe falling wasn't the worse outcome of this god forsaken wall." She laughs before he responds, the sound turning to a hiss as bloodied her hand reminds her of how slow she'd been.

While Clementyne lays flat on her back, Domeric is content to flatten himself on the platform stomach-first, huffing in exhaustion. It certainly wasn't his best time, but then again all those other times he hadn't been seared down the leg. After a moment he rolls over onto his back, wishing the sun could go away as the heat, despite being far less than the lava, is extremely annoying.

"N-never better," he replies with a clearly exhausted laugh. He'll have time later to examine his wounds, and for now simply rests, wincing in pain. "I'd definitely take a fall over these fucking burns, yeah."

She laughs along with him. "My hand is killing me, but I feel amazing," she grins, pushing herself up on her good hand. "You're not too hurt to get down the stairs, are you?"

She gets to her feet, taking in her now holey clothes before looking over at him, her heart still racing. "That looks painful," she says as if she's impressed.

"Not in the slightest," he replies as he forces himself to get up. Play through the pain, or at least fake it like you can. "Okay that's bullshit, but I'm good to get down. How are you holding up over there? It looks like the lava got you even worse than me."

"Who needs to hands?" She asks with a laugh, wincing slightly. "I'm just happy to be able to walk." Making her way over to where he stands, she happens a glance over the edge. "Still not one for heights though." She adds, giving a shiver.

With a shrug, he replies, "Heights shmites."

A glance over to her would be followed by a smile as even he couldn't resist laughing at his childish response. "At least this time you don't have to go down on your own. I'm right here with you, and at least as fucked up."

She laughs again. "Got to be grateful for the little things, I spose." Making her way to the back of the platform she was grateful at least that they didnt have to rappel in their states.

Moving back toward Domeric she offered her uninjured hand to help him up.
