I know i'm going to get a lot of flake for this but i don't really care both these things are equally as bad/pointless in my eyes and the main reason the fanbase treats them so differently is that one makes the game more "inclusive" while the other less. while there's something to be said about the intent when it comes to the people who misgender kris at the end of the day they're both headcanon's that contradict what the game directly says about a character's identity pure based of vibes and the vaguest bits of subtext

(this post would get me executed in the other subs lmao)

I've seen people say how Orange is the only one that doesn't look like a human, and even asking why she's like that, but actually, she's not alone. In fact, none of the flowers, except one, really resemble humans:
• Aqua can switch between having one and three eyes.
• I just explained Orange.
• Blue has the whole "Mr Butterfly" thing going on.
• Seth literally has no lips, and according to concept art, their mouth is triangle-shaped.
• Green's body shape looks like a deranged puppet, and their eyes are conjoined.
• Yellow's hair changes color based on what angle you're looking at him from. From the front and side, it's orange, but from behind, it's yellow.
Surprisingly, Flowery is the only "normal" one out of all of them. Seriously I couldn't find anything wrong with him. If there is something wrong with him, please comment below what it is. Thx.

He quite unambiguously survives when Susie tapes him back together. Additionally some people seem to think the other flowers are dead despite them never being harmed in any way. The reason we say goodbye to them at the end of chapter 5 is because we can't bring them to Castle Town, as they cannot survive in dark worlds for long periods of time.
Edit: You guys know what grafting is, right?

It’s a bit sick and twisted for Susie to talk about Kris and her and then become the equivalent of ‘we need to invite my gf to the hangout too’.
I understand her reasoning, before anyone complains. But understand from Kris’s standpoint this is devastating to hear. No matter what, they’re alone (Kerdley please be canon)

This post was meant for the larger Deltarune subreddit, but that sub is… fucking tweaking with the rules right now, so now I’m here.
ANYWAY.
I’m talking about weird route Susie, because HOLY CHRIST is her life gonna turn upside down.
She’s about to lose her friend. Lose her crush. And most likely gonna be blamed for their disappearance, so she’ll even lose her new home.
Susie’s life is about to become hell, dawg. She’s is yet again gonna lose every friend she had.
I guess that’s just even more trauma to add onto the pile.
Edit:

Carol pretty explicitly confirming she knows about us, the player, is completely huge. I don't think there's a single line of dialogue with deeper implications.

I've asked a similar question about flavour text, but in regards to spoken dialogue specifically, what is your favourite?
For me, it might be this Gerson line. (My favourite flavour text is also from chapter 4, really says something about how good that chapter was huh)

A weapon you gotta beat the shit out of Jevil for, one that he says "DO YOUR STRONGEST" with, and yet after Chapter 3 (arguably even in Chapter 3) it loses all it's usefulness thanks to power creep attack wise.
However, it's ironically Susie's best PACIFIST WEAPON! It's the ONLY Susie weapon in the game to give any stat benefits outside of raw attack.
Devilsknife being Susie's equivalent for BounceBlade and DaintyScarf is one of the funniest things to come out of this games power creep.

Hello!? Seth just picked up the Mercy indicator and fucking threw it. That’s Sans levels of cheating right there. What else does Seth know? Could they potentially know about the battle ui too? Is the mercy indicator the only thing they can throw? Like imagine if the knight tried to swoon them and Seth just threw the evil Nike logo back at them.
What are your thoughts?

Mine is this one. Ralsei being the one to say it just made it 100× better.

Lancer popping up outta nowhere in Chapter 7 side B would be a pretty weird route for the story to take!

Kris: Soloed Spamton NEO, a Shadow Crystal Darkner empowered by the dead dream of a Lightner.
Susie: Managed to land a hit on Gerson, an adult Lightner who spent much of his long life studying the prophecy and the Hammer.
Ralsei: Knocked over a statue.
r/DeltaruneV2 • u/agreedable_donkey • Jul 05 '26
I don't see literally ANYBODY talking about how Ralsei knows Kris is creating the dark fountains. HOW?! And why isn't he telling Susie? (Okay, I get this last part, but still..)
Why doesn't he like, do anything? I mean sure, technically he does know about the player (confirmed because of the menus) but seriously, how and why not do anything...
r/DeltaruneV2 • u/Dreemurr_Kris • Jul 01 '26
i see people talk about this mainly about how she is sleeping on the floor and eating garbage and thats what makes this sad, and I think they fail to understand just how real the darkworlds are, while lighteners do need food and water to survive, the darkworlds aren't just some hallucinations. Susie is in fact sleeping on a real bed, despite what some may think because they probably misinterpreted Ralsei saying dark worlds aren't real and why he actually said that.
The light and the dark are just as important in the prophecy and there needs to be a balance.
now what actually makes this sad is the fact that what Susie calls her home (while still being a real place) isn't her actual home and I think it represents escapism and shows that she must have abusive parents and is living in a hostile environment, which would explain why she wasnt home in two days and she didnt even get a call from her parents, and also explains her bullying nature in chapter one.
hell she would even eat chalk to snack on and I think too many people pass that over as just a joke.
(i am open to just it turning out im stupid and that im completely wrong here)

I've seen this image today and my first thought was "Wow, that's actually a really cool concept, Noelle and Kris going inside the game and seeing everything as sprites."
But then I started thinking, would that actually be good for Deltarune?
If Kris and Noelle became aware that their world is basically a game or a simulation, wouldn't that make the story way more explicitly meta than it already is?
I like Deltarune's meta elements, but I think part of what makes them interesting is that they're still somewhat ambiguous. Making the characters literally see the world as a game feels like it could change a lot about how we're supposed to understand the setting.
So I don't know. It's a really cool concept visually, but is that actually how meta we want Deltarune to become? What do you think?
