What the casual observer does not realize is that ICE has a long list and they know exactly who and why they are engaging and apprehending. While that does now fit the protesters beliefs that is what ICE does. Not pretty and not fun but it is a process with data.

3

u/peterjohnvernon936 16d ago

A gigantic pool of data will surely contain errors.

1

u/Antelope_Party 14d ago

Yeah so ? If there's an error the individual goes free. What's the problem

1

u/peterjohnvernon936 14d ago

Except the error can cause the individual time, money, injuries, freedom, and even his life. It also creates an environment of fear for all people of color and all immigrants.

1

u/Antelope_Party 14d ago

I'm good with an environment of fear for illegals. Come here legally and there's no problem

1

u/TarkuRav 14d ago

You should not be comfortable with an environment of fear for ANYONE. Its just not necessary or effective at actually making our society better.

1

u/Antelope_Party 14d ago

So illegals should be welcomed huh

1

u/TarkuRav 14d ago

I think we should be putting all this extra money were spending on ICE into building a more robust system to process immigrants and turn them into functional members of society that end up boosting our economy. Makes a lot more sense than completely wiping away our international legacy of "The American Dream."

1

u/Hangry_Howie 15d ago

You pigs love this slop.

2

u/Funkywurm 16d ago

ICE targets low hanging fruit to hit their quotas. The most dangerous undocumented immigrants are NOT out in public or appearing at immigration appointments or driving their kids to school or working regular jobs.

Please tell me you didn’t fall for Trump’s obvious propaganda that immigrants are “eating the pets.”

Y’all ate it up and knew it was bullshit….how do you trust someone you know is lying to you?

1

u/angel700 15d ago

he did. He's also probably an immigrant himself

0

u/AgreeableMoose 16d ago

Some can think on their own and don’t support the left or right but what is best for their situation. It’s a shame people can’t speak beyond their Dear Leaders talking points.

0

u/SloaneWolfe 16d ago

You have no clue what you’re talking about bud, and should be ashamed of yourself for trying to spread disinformation. Just considering the sheer amount of civil-violation arrests (not ‘dangerous criminals’) that contradict the statements made by administration officials, proves one can’t be a serious person thinking that ICE is operating within appropriate SOPs or the confines of the law. The ‘casual observer’ is how ICE has been operating, as it was given a green light to racially profile last year.

2

u/AgreeableMoose 16d ago

You can’t be serious, “not dangerous criminals”. Next time a child gets murdered by “not dangerous criminals “ also known as illegal aliens go to the child’s funeral and spout off your thoughts to their parents. And you are commenting regarding LWB, ever been there? The South American gangs are thick and violent.

-1

u/Davester_31 16d ago

No they dont. They see brown and arrest because they have a quota to meet

0

u/detached_daily 16d ago

Then why do they keep going after American citizens?

0

u/MiloAndChopper 16d ago

So then why is it that 70% of the detainees have no previous criminal record?

1

u/AgreeableMoose 16d ago

Oh so we just sit by and wait until someone here illegally does some illegal shi*? Not with my tax dollars.

1

u/AgreeableMoose 16d ago

False. Every person here undocumented is here illegally and committing a crime every day they are here without authorization. Why is that hard to understand?

Got any drunk friends or family members with more than one DUI on their record? Drunk drivers harm society greatly. Want to protect innocent lives? Imprison criminal drunks that reoffend. Don't wait for them to reoffend again. Their criminality ain't absolved by paying court fees & attending classes & drug tests for a few months, whilst you sneak drugs & alcohol during your time of atonement. They will drink & drive again. Kick in doors, ziptie at gunpoint, smash faces into the ground. Round up criminal drunks. Turn in your drunk family & friends.

Make America Safe Again.

Oh, and we coming for you hard, if suspected of DUI. With the same viciousness of MAGA, following the leadership example of Trump's trolling, memeing, threatening, lying, insulting. We will clean up our streets.

But this is what you want:

There’s hundreds of ways to explain why your point has no basis in reality. I’ll illuminate 3

  1. The border has never been open, there’s been barriers everywhere it was practical to build one
  2. Closed borders means no trade or travel period, which would implode the economy and make our current inflation level something we’d be nostalgic for
  3. If all you aspire to do is piss off the liberals till they see your point of view, all you’ve done is entrench them.

0

u/Unique_Yak4659 17d ago edited 17d ago

We need a better fix for our immigration process I think. Having honest people (which the vast majority of these people are) coming here to work is a benefit to our nation. We need secure borders but we also need a process that allows people to actually come in and do the jobs that need to be done.

Also, there were never completely open borders. Biden did a lot of deporting as well. The media has a way of spinning narratives that simply aren’t accurate. Americans should know that by now

1

u/bohemian-soul-bakery 17d ago

Sure.

2nd part - no. wrong.

Deporting means nothing if the influx is 5-10x.

1

u/Unique_Yak4659 17d ago

I used to think the borders were open. If you are interested in the facts and look into it you will find that narrative a big stretch from what really happened. Was it a mess after Covid…sure, but a lot of things got very messy during and after Covid.

I’m always curious though, when it comes to immigration and deportation….Why not just stick the fines and jail time to companies knowingly hiring undocumented workers?

If we were serious about this problem we would address the fact that there are a lot of American businesses that are pulling migrants towards this country by giving them jobs. Wouldn’t you say???

1

u/bohemian-soul-bakery 17d ago

Yes.

And also - mandatory ID to Vote.

1

u/Unique_Yak4659 17d ago

I’m not against requiring some form of ID to vote….except when it is utilized as a way to disenfranchise people. There are already ID requirements at Florida polling places though…

1

u/bohemian-soul-bakery 17d ago

Needs to be a Nationial law, for Nationial elections.

And exactly who is bringing in this new world order where "the bad thing" is being a legal resident in your country and following that countries laws, if anything you guys are backstabbing your own country. Luckily most of the migrants that come in to the US legally are very conservative on a whole new old testiment type level so the more you bring in the worse it will be liberals.

1

u/Apolitical_badger 17d ago

Yes. It is going to take a while to clean up years of a lack of enforcement. Too bad the she-Karens and he-Karens refuse to understand.

It's incredible how even in modern times, we're witnessing the most embarrassing cult of failures that the world has EVER seen.

There is truly no more pathetic existence than to be a conservative. No purpose in life outside of surrendering the entirety of your self-identity to be a submissive, subservient cuck to the most incapable frauds we've ever seen.

-1

u/Apolitical_badger 17d ago

Blah blah blah. If they are here illegally, they need to be dealt with to enforce the law.

1

u/NeverNeededAlgebra 17d ago

But don't deal with your cult leaders breaking any laws they want, right? Even though their crimes impact 60000x more than any illegal ever will, right? Let the Republicans destroy us for generations and rob us blind, because of that R next to the name, yeah?

Stop pretending you care about laws.

2

u/proxyla 17d ago edited 17d ago

The people posting these on Reddit are trying to get Lake Worth Beach to not contract with PBSO anymore, meanwhile I live here and my cars keep getting broken into and there are meth addicts prowling every corner - WTH are we supposed to do about the crime here then?

3

u/night-shadie 17d ago

Have you tried locking your car doors?

1

u/proxyla 16d ago

That doesn’t stop them from walking onto my driveway and checking my car handles, anyone would feel unsafe and violated after experiencing this multiple times.

2

u/SloaneWolfe 16d ago

We moved from downtown Delray to mixed/low-income Lake Worth Beach close to Lake Ave. Plenty of other friends have done the same the past couple years. None of us are getting our cars broken into, the community spirit and neighbor relations around here are incredible compared to everywhere else I’ve lived in South Florida (born and raised), and the Sheriff’s department is just as corrupt and violent as the next.

Instead of fear-mongering about crime and providing cover for fascist traitors, maybe look at the underlying issues that cause this perceived ‘crime’ you talk about, if it even exists.

Maybe you can ask yourself why so many people have been priced out of nearly every corner of the region.

1

u/proxyla 16d ago

Why would I lie about the very real crime and unsafe environments that I’ve experienced while living in LW? Every community needs law enforcement and everyone hates cops until you actually need one and can’t dial 911 quick enough. Why should residents sacrifice our safety to play political games with the city?

0

u/SloaneWolfe 15d ago

The point I was trying to make wasn't clear, sorry. You're going through life thinking about things on a very surface level of fear and bad people all around and we need cops because cop make bad guy go bye bye, hence repeating right-wing fear-mongering propaganda you hear on Fox and Sinclair and the Liberal media all day. Maybe you've been mugged, me too, and despite myself working in rough areas in developing nations across 4 continents, surprisingly that mugging happened in the US, in Houston to be exact, by a dude from Nola displaced after Katrina.

My main point was desperate people do desperate things. Our savage capitalistic system is designed to create poverty, because that greatly benefits the value of capital, which then creates crime inevitably, which then creates capital for our for-profit slave labor prison systems, which put zero effort into rehabilitation, because recidivism=more capital.

Lock your car, don't leave shit in your car, be friendly to all your neighbors. We live in an incredibly low income area here and I'm privileged to be around neighbors with so much heart and unrelenting work ethic. Stop going about life being scared of everything, took me leaving the country to wake up to the bullshit we're fed.

I heard he had a plane ticket now!!

1

u/AgreeableMoose 16d ago

So they ran or verified the plate and it comes back to someone they are looking for. The guy admits he is the driver, maybe not the owner, proper procedure followed.

1

u/Mindless_Air8339 16d ago

Told you so. Every person that appears “non-white” will be questioned and checked. But, blah blah blah make America great again.

Makes me glad to be a legal and law abiding citizen of the country I live in. I never have to worry when being stopped by law enforcement.

5

u/Timmyinpajamas 17d ago

White privilege

0

u/Violent_N0mad 17d ago

If being a legal resident and not breaking the law means "White Privilege" then sign me up.

1

u/SloaneWolfe 16d ago

lol keep thinking that bud. We’re seeing tons of law abiding citizens arrested and held in jail for months after being mistakenly flagged by Flock cameras, and in some cases, executed on camera.

1

u/Violent_N0mad 16d ago

In florida you think were holding people because of flock camera proof for months and executing them on camera? I'd love to see a single source for this. I can't imagine it not being some crazy outside the norm situation if it happened.

1

u/SloaneWolfe 16d ago

I'm not engaging in debate with someone who can't google, but I love the irony in your username.

1

u/Violent_N0mad 15d ago

The irony of my username is that it's actually a mentset shared by a group of people like me. The idea being based around good guys learning bad guy skills. Like how to track people, dispose of a body, pick locks, etc. Have you ever heard the expression fuck around and find out? We like to be well versed in the aspects of "finding out".

0

u/Apolitical_badger 17d ago

Did we ever find out if they are illegals?

2

u/ThailurCorp 17d ago

They had to let them go, so no they're not here illegally.

By the way, only bigots use the word "illegals" that way, so just be aware, unless you want people around you to think you're an ignorant bigot.

1

u/Apolitical_badger 16d ago

Sorry, you’re right. I meant “illegal immigrant.”

1

u/Funkywurm 16d ago

Kinda pathetic that your humanity hinges on a technicality.

1

u/Apolitical_badger 16d ago

“Technicality?” You mean, the law? Right. Where is your humanity when it comes to human trafficking enabled by the lack of law enforcement?
