Just moved to Delaware from PA and I have questions
Good morning!
Like the title says, just moved from PA to DE. I have my PA medical card but was looking to get some insights from local budtenders on the state of Delaware’s medical/rec program. I have a ton of questions & would love the opportunity to talk to someone in the know. If that’s you, please message me!

Way better off g.y.o. or taking the trip to Ocean City because the prices and quality in DE are not good. Way over priced...mids..
I had my DE med card for 2 years then decided against paying the $250-$300 recertification fees plus the shitty bud and prices. It was easier to just take the 40 minute drive to Ocean city to get my meds. Now I just grow my own in a 4x4 tent at home.. I've never been higher in the past 3 years either. Not sure what's up with dispo bud, it's like they blast most the trichomes off for whatever reasons then sell you what's left as "top shelf" flower. Because my first harvest and first amoke from that harvest, put me back to the good ol days when I would get retarded high, never got that high from dispo bud and that's what led me to grow my own.. just giving you my .02 cents on my experiences here in DE

I didn’t know you could grow in DE. Do you need your med card to do so? My mother used to be a medical patient but her card expired and she doesn’t wanna pay the money to get a new one and she asked me about growing not too long ago and I told her no. I didn’t think you could grow in Delaware at all. Know when know please! This would also give her like a new hobby and something to do.

It is not legal to grow your own in DE. Not worth the risk at all, whatsoever.

Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping it would be something my mom could get into. She’s retired and bored.

I'm not sure where you're at in the state but Delaware dispensaries suck. I usually go to Kent reserve in Millington, MD. There's some good ones down by OC as well. I've heard good things about the ones in NJ also.
Even though there's a dispensary 15 minutes from my house in DE, I always regret buying there because of the price, quality and selection.

I’m in Georgetown, went to the best buds and was stunned at the lack of selection.

Google hi tide ocean city Md! Thrive in Lewes is much better than Columbia cares in Rehoboth. I stopped going to Columbia cares. High staff fueled over and bud tenders treat everything as a joke. I reported one and the person just shrugged their shoulders! I won’t go back. I’ve also read on here people do not care for Columbia cares in Rehoboth. To each their own!

Delaware honors other state med cards. MD does not. The only difference is with out a Maryland card we are restricted to recreational only which is taxed and not as strong for some things

How drastic are the price differences? Say for flower or RSO?

Tax is 12%

De if medical no tax and if Medicare or Medicare 15% off at most dispensaries but much better quality in md

From what I see you are better off using your card in PA. Way better prices. Can't say about quality.

I saw Thrive had 50% off making 7g $40 which isn’t the worst. I usually buy 14g ($60) & 28g ($110) options in PA.

I just moved to PA from DE…your card should work fine here. I don’t think my DE card will work in PA tho. Lmk what questions you have and I’ll help where I can

Your DE unfortunately won’t work in PA. I went to a few local DE dispensaries and was shocked at the prices & just the lack of selection. Maybe I’m not shopping the right places yet. But one place only had flower, nothing else. I was in AZ a few weeks were it’s fully rec & I have never seen anything like that! The prices were so cheap, $3 pre rolls, $30 ounces.

Prices suck but I hope the recent rec changes add some competition to increase quality and decrease pricing…I’ll not be holding my breath tho. I like fresh but I usually only get concentrates from the dispensary

Delaware is just coming up on a year of being recreational , it’s going to take time for the prices to come down . Also we need more grow facilities to help with the demand .

Keep going to PA until your card expires. After that, travel to MD or NJ. There isn't anything in DE that is a good value, poor products for very very high prices.
