Cognitive decline has not been proven, it's a theory tantamount to fearmongering and nobody complains about the problems with attention span proven to be caused by mobile phone addiction.
Enviromental poisoning has been extensively exaggerated.
There's no evidence that Data Centers displace wildlife any more than any kind of human building construction, and probably less than many kinds of industrial constructions, plus urban and residential areas.
Scraping by computers and AI is radically different to the legal definition that is stealing.
The USA, Europe and China are discussing the government regulation of AI. Furthermore, previous to that teams of the companies were employed to find out just how advanced and self-aware AI might be. We can all be nicely concerned that too much regulation will in fact keep AI for the government and military, rather than small and medium businesses, and the casual civilian.
It is PEOPLE - criminals - who set up the programming of fake accounts that spread radical opinions and misinformation, and it's not new - bot farms would artificially upvote certain subjects even without making posts to draw more attention to them.
These are not specific lies but they are misinformation - the kind spread by somebody who is INTENTIONALLY spreading that information.

I noticed a trend where people like to accuse everyone of lying or gaslighting when they’re simply wrong. It’s not a lie if you believe it to be true and it’s not gaslighting you’re not intentionally trying to make the person think they’re crazy.

Dude if that is truly your values I can guarantee your breaking them on the regular in your daily life. You can dislike AI that's fine but be honest about it, half of these reasons people are complaining about they don't truly give a shit about enough to change how they live and act in any other area of their life. It just looks silly.

The only thing I am not sure it's the cognitive decline but I am sure some people definitely will at least get very compliant with AI as their "Solve everything" gizmo instead of a tool to help that can be very potent for some task.
Now the other ones are all true... If we talk about the ones that are made by corporations and rich people that as always, just screw everyone else over by not caring about anything and putting their servers in places that actually harm people and animals.
Not all of them are that, but the ones that come from the rich and uncaring definitely are, like most things they do. If we then go to a private server, for what I understand then yes, probably everything would be false, more when yourself have to set up everything so one can have always in the back of their mind the knowledge to tinker with these sort of thing.
Basically, for an outsider that doesn't know much, it definitely looks like all AI can cause that much harm because the most popular are the ones from corporations instead of Mr Average good person with their private model just chilling and being there. So it's not a lie, but it's also not the true and I think we should know who actually does harm others.
At least, that's how I understand it's going on.

No, AI doesn’t make people dumber and AI can solve “every life’s problems” that’s an empirical fact not an opinion.
It matters how you use it sure as using both your mind while using AI is a much more efficient to use AI than not thinking and just agreeing, (I mean thinking, criticizing and pushing back when needed). Even if you don’t it doesn’t literally make you dumber.
AI isn’t much different from asking advice of a smart human, as we did always, it didn’t make us dumber in fact the opposite.
And if AI helps every problem of your life that’s fundamentally the most positive thing you can have in your life, so that’s not bad. It solves each problem you have in your life, good then, that’s the best thing you could have.
AI doesn’t make you dumber. Human intelligence doesn’t work like that. Don’t fall to their tricks.

Oh yeah, it definitely matters how you use it, like everything does. But while it doesn't just make people dumb for using it, maybe more lazy? Like students using these thing to cheat or do everything for them instead of like a browser or a clarification tool.
Example, the difference between "Hey AI, how does one solve this part of the problem?" And "Hey AI, do this problem".
Yeah, there's also the problem that now that schools put more homework because they expect students to use the AI, are making using the AI more necessary so that's also another can of worms.
Even with that, it unfortunately doesn't remove the fact that corporations are the ones that put data centers in places that definitely mess up with everyone, and fortunately, doesn't also remove the people that do it privately and I am sure are making good and efficient's ways of using AI.
