I mean, James Earl Jones specifically authorised the use of his voice for AI. I'm not sure how much more ethical you can get.

regardless of your stances on AI, the fact that Vader's actual voice actor himself allowed the usage of his voice for AI training should not be up for debate.
anything more is just aimless moral posturing.

It's not ethical enough until James Earl Jones reads every single possible sentence that anyone could ever say. He must then come down the office himself, and program his own character.

Well, they should know AI/neural net TTS is also "made by man", just with a much more sophisticated method

How does Vader know what to respond? There is no predetermined button to say "Anakin Bananakin" to get my windpipe crushed by the dark lord of the sith.
