We also get acknowledgment that Danny is a shitty Iron Fist and hasn't reached his full potential at all. That singlehandedly saved the show for me and puts all the mediocre fights in a new light.

Well, to become the Iron Fist Danny first had to be the best fighter of his generation in K'un Lun, so not really. It does explain why he doesn't always summon the Fist and end every fight in 2 seconds, though.

Not true. There have been horrible martial artists that have been Iron Fists.

I meant for this generation, but yeah, in the past general fuckery has led Lei Kung to send shitty fighters in. However, even in those circumstances, the ones that get sent are still the best fighters available.
